This has good reviews so we tried it out for breakfast. The coffee, perfection! They have a decent espresso machine and saw the staff grinding coffee beans as we order. A lot of the tourists were having eggs and baguette but we have a long day ahead so I ordered rice and fried chicken breast. It was the wrong choice 😭 The chicken was well seasoned but very dry, like it was from last night and reheated. But make sure to order the wonton soup. It's really good!
Service was fast and staff are used to tourists. I believe the owner is French and also owns the travel company/motorcycle rental just beside the restaurant.

The food here is pretty good, we had an excellent dinner last week. We enjoyed all the food. The dumpling were good, not too greasy with a lovely texture. The noodles were delicious. The staff are friendly and we would return to this place.

It is a small restaurant next to Noy Motorbike (actually it's the same owner). We tried the soups and they were really good, especially the wonton soup. Also we had mango sticky rice as dessert and it was delicious. We totally recommend this place.

I had already been several times to Meiling restaurant, but only for breakfast (they sell the delicious baguette from nearby French bakery La Boulange, with fried or scrambled eggs). After reading the positive reviews about wonton soup there, I decided to give it a go last evening. I lived one year in Hong Kong, so I was really excited to eat this dish again (there probably is, but I’m not aware of any other place selling it in Pakse). And I have to say that I was not disappointed! The broth was flavorful, with scallions and fried garlic. You can taste it’s homemade. On top of the wontons, it had leaves of Shanghai cabbage too. For information, I chose the soup coming with 8 pieces of wonton (for 40,000 LAK), but they also serve a soup with 5 pieces and egg noodles (for 30,000 LAK). Finally, I had a delicious mango smoothie for dessert. Everything was perfect!
