Our visit to Mekong Buffalo was the perfect finale to our Rotorua trip. On the lookout for standout Asian Fusion cuisine, we were thrilled to discover this eatery. Its warm and vibrant atmosphere immediately embraced us, creating an ideal setting for both casual and celebratory meals. The star dish for us was the sizzling tofu - its taste and texture were simply divine, making it an essential try for visitors. The Pork Belly was equally impressive, bursting with flavor. Additionally, the Lemongrass Chicken and Pad Thai were hits, striking a delightful balance between sweet and tangy, served in hearty portions. The menu was a treasure trove of Asian Fusion delights, each dish tempting in its own right. The value and taste of the food were outstanding. Parking was conveniently available just across the street. The service was exceptional, with the staff's warmth and efficiency significantly elevating our dining experience. Great place to eat that was well priced for the quality of food. The food was all outstanding with the Prawn Pad Thai being a standout. Friendly and helpful staff that were more than welcoming to questions and advice about the menu for people that first-time dine-in here. Highly recommend it to anyone thinking about trying it. I think a really good word to describe the whole meal was fresh. The tuna tasted really fresh and high quality Spring rolls were good, really crispy and of course tasted so fresh. Really wanted to try this place for a long time, heard lots of great things. And staff’s service was very nice even though the restaurant was mostly full! I really did enjoy the customer service and look of the restaurant, we had two of the smaller plates, duck and the soft shell crab and then two mains mussels and prawn salad and unfortunately the mussels were really overpriced about 7 mussels for $28 which is ridiculous pricing. I did enjoy it but would I come back probably not as there are more restaurants that give you more for your money and now days that counts for a lot

I have to say that this was excellent food. As well as the really nice fresh flavours the atmosphere and decor are top notch also. Great for a group of friends or if you want to impress on a date. I had the soft shell crab and the prawn and green papaya salad. I would recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Delicious food, we got a bunch of stuff to share and it was all fab. I think our favourites were the Sticky Chicken with Rice, the Vietnamese Duck Slaw and the Sticky Pork Belly (the sauce was amazing, as was the sauce on the dumplings). Good for Dairy Free as well. Such a lovely restaurant. Great tasty Food. Awesome people who serve. Went there today for our staff Christmas lunch. We were really looked after! Such lovely pork belly! A real treat! And the desert! Some combinations and tastes I had never eaten before. Such Fun! Will have to come back again!
