After seeing Tully Park, it may be a good idea to visit this restaurant. Tasty ribs, prime rib roast and steaks can be what you need. The positive aspect of Mikes Big City is that the staff is knowledgeable. Many people suppose that the service is nice. Was with a large group. I know it's a steak house but I thought it would have better no meat options. The House Salad I ordered said it came with tomatoes and cucumber. Seemed to be a shortage of these in this entire town. I was charged way over $10 for this tiny salad. The chilis in the Poppers were red with an orange colored cream cheese inside. The menu said nothing about this. Fries were good. Did not get a refill of iced tea and there was no sweeteners available. Paid over $30 including tip for a small light meal. Limited beer options for a high priced steak house. If you like cheap beer you'll be fine. Stella is the only high quality beer they offer besides microbrews which the waitress didn't bother to mention. The people I went with were pleased with the steaks and prime rib, and the owner was awesome. I was disappointed as it was recommended to me by a local who assured me I could find alternatives to steak. I paid $4 for a decent sized House salad at the Peppermill the night before. Friendly enough little place in a small pass through town. Very large portions. Steak quality wasn't the best(lots of sinew) but made up for in good flavor. Server wasn't super friendly but wasn't at all rude. Gentleman I think was the owner was quite nice and very personable. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We were suggested this place by a local, and it definitely did not disappoint. The service was kind of weird, 4 people asked us how many, one at a time. We told them 2, they said just a minute, then disappeared. Then another and so on. Beyond that, the food was absolutely delicious. Steak, baked potato, fries, corn ribs, and every meal comes with a mini homemade burrito. Absolutely wonderful!! Awesome food! I've never had a med/rare steak. But the waitress said the chef will only cook the porterhouse rare or med/rare so that the flavor and quality of the steak stays good. It was amazing. I rated the atmosphere a 3 because they have a stage and lighting and a saloon/bar but the stage is used for storage at the moment. Not sure why. I would have enjoyed some live music on a Saturday night. 🙂 Still give it 5 stars though on everything else!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Loved finding this little gem. Service was impeccable. We never wanted for anything yet the staff let us enjoy our food. Hubby and I got hamburger steak top of mashed “patatoes” and it was huge! Should’ve shared. Our son got the country fried chicken. Best chicken I’ve ever had. We lucked into eating dinner at this gem while we were on a cross country trip. I don't know if he was the chef/owner/both, but the man who came out and talked with us was so friendly & got my kids chatting. We showed up pretty late too... but they didn't make us feel bad at all. We all enjoyed steak, salad, & yummy mashed potatoes! I also want to add that the side salad was great! The food was good! The Sirloin Steak was excellent! The Chicken Fried Steak was alright, but the meat could've used some seasoning, and the breading didn't stick to the meat at all, which made the lack of seasoning on the meat more obvious. The gravy for the Chicken Fried Steak was great, though! The Gooey Cheesestix we good, too. Being from Wisconsin, I know my Cheese. Lol. And these were very good Cheesestix. The wait-staff seemed a bit distracted, probably from understaffing, like everywhere. But they were still friendly and gave good service, when they were around. The atmosphere is fun. 5 stars overall. Clean, friendly, prompt service. Salad was good, shrimp was decent, steak was fantastic! Exactly how I ordered it (rare). The baked sweet potato.....drenched in sugar and marshmallows... if you aren't expecting that it is not pleasant. Bit of a downer really.
