I decided to give this place a try for the 1st time, I regularly visit Plush for a car-wash.
My Minky’s simple order was a “HOT” chocolate and sandwich.
The place did not seem busy, two young white girls behind the counter, two white females and a white male (whom I had thought to be patrons, I make further mention of one of the white females below).
Notwithstanding that the place seemed quite and had the perfect environment to deliver the perfect order, I was served a COLD 🥶 “HOT” chocolate! How the waitress made, held, felt and served a customer a COLD “HOT” beverage is unfathomable.
Needless to say, I returned it and one of the two white ladies, whom I had initially thought to be patrons (see above), got up and made me a hot one. I still can’t tell whether the first service was just straight-out sloppy or intentional. No apology was proffered or reason given for the first service, or lack thereof.
Was it bona or mala fides? Well let’s see if this review will solicit their response.
Now to my sandwich : this item was not worth any penny spent on it, the presentation was flimsy and the sandwich tasteless. No care whatsoever went into making it delectable, at the very least, for the consumer. I desperately needed to snack but 3 bites into the sandwich and I couldn’t take it anymore.
I hate to seem wasteful but my conscience couldn’t allow me to give it away to the guys begging at the traffic lights. If it wasn’t suitable for my consumption, it wasn’t for any other.
Its a further pity that it wasn’t commercially viable for me to drive back and return as I had with the COLD Chocolate. I so wished I hadn’t driven away and returned it.
So if you are ever at Plush for a car wash and in need of a bite, you are better off visiting alternative stores than Minky’s Coffee Bar.
