So I've gone here for dinner and it's a totally different experience. Brunch is solidly a 3/5 while dinner is typically a 5/5 meal. I love chef Liv but brunch was not the vibe. I expected more for the price. I did appreciate the opportunity to try some of the pastries offered at Sift but the flavor and texture of brunch options were really lacking. I got the brunch burger and the bun was doughy and under cooked. Similarly, the potatoes were very much undercooked. I wish there were more options for gluten free substitutions, because without the bread to carry many of the brunch options they fall completely flat texturally. A very underwhelming experience. Price per person $50–100

Loved sitting at the fireside table. The atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat and the food was really good. I got the hazelnut crusted goat cheese fritters that came with a beet salad, the crispy pork ribs, and a passionfruit margarita. The ribs were incredibly satisfying cuz they were so juicy and flavorful! And I usually hate beets but the goat cheese fritters with the tartar sauce complimented the beet salad very well! The margarita wasn't as sweet as I'm used to but it was still really good. One of my chef's from culinary class said "you know the food is good when no one is talking" and I'm reminded of that every time I'm sitting with friends and we're all zoned in to our food. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be going again! Best view in Mystic! Brunch is pricey but worth every penny. The service is always fantastic. The food and presentation has been pristine every visit and I love the rotating menu choices that flow with the season. Had an excellent dinner at Mix last night with friends. Cocktails were inspired and yummy and food was excellent. I loved the scallops and my husband said the pork 2 ways was one of the best meals he's had in a while. Desserts were, of course, artfully presented and just as delicious as they were beautiful. We celebrated my birthday this past Saturday at Mix. And may I just say it was the most memorable experience ever. The food was exquisite. The presentation was just divine and the service was absolutely amazing. Britney made us feel like we were family and of course Adam was outstanding with all the care and effort that went into our dinner and my most beautiful cake. Recently went to the renovated Mix and was so impressed! Our server was so great & friendly. Everything from the bread & spreads, to the goat cheese fritters, the steak, Gene’s Dream dessert, and the delicious cocktails were all amazing! We had an awesome experience last night at the bar with Alex. He told us a made a mean old fashioned and he wasn’t lying. The espresso martini was fantastic too. He suggested the octopus small plate and the fettuccine which did not disappoint. We had such a fun night for our Anniversary and it was great chatting it up with Alex and enjoying his suggested menu items and cocktails. Mix was a wonderful choice for the 4th of July dinner. The upper seating area is new and open. Service was friendly and responsive and the food was above and beyond. The bread basket starter had a wonderful assortment of goodies featuring a nice balance of salty and savory options. The lobster with gnocchi was also a delight. Although the mocktails were lacking, everything else was outstanding. Great staff, amazing food. The bread was so good we ordered extra to-go. The waitress recommended the fried goat cheese truffles with beets, the pork ribs and mushroom pasta-- I'm so glad we went along with her recommendations. They also wrote a nice message in chocolate for my husband's birthday and sent us home with a couple chocolates (we would have eaten them then, but we were so full). I highly recommend staying for dessert. Mix is definitely contending to be my favorite restaurant. My husband and I recently went after the restaurant’s reopening. The staff was very attentive and made us feel welcome. They were also extremely knowledgeable about the dishes and happy to answer any questions. The new menu (both food and cocktails) is very innovative with a variety of options, including for those with dietary restrictions. We loved the oysters and tuna tacos for hors d'oeuvres. There was so much flavor in both dishes. My steak entree was cooked perfectly, as was my husband’s butter poached lobster. We also couldn’t stop eating the key lime dessert even though we were already full. We can’t wait to return for another date night!
