I’m from NYC and Miyami’s food is as good as any of the finest Sushi bars and restaurants in NYC. Here’s a tip for you: If you’re a small party (we were three) skip the wait for a table and head straight for the sushi bar. There was nobody at the bar but a big wait for tables when we got there at 5pm when they opened. Now, to the food. We mixed it up. The tempura oysters are amazing. Comes with tempura onions and sweet potatoes. Those onion rings were really good. The beef strips were fantastic. Served rare. My favorite was the baby octopus. Miyami got the octopus just right. So sweet and tender. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had tough octopus in top notch sushi bars in NYC. Order the Octopus. The sushi rolls were so effing good. Tuna, Eel, Yellow Tail, and specialty rolls (I’m a purist. Don’t go in for the specialty rolls but my sister and brother-in-law loved theirs). Shout out to Chef Shota. Had a blast sitting at your bar and watching you do your magic. Really wanted to order sashimi but so much food. Thanks for the tongs when we were packing up the leftovers! You rock, bro. Tonight I left work, drove from Sumter to eat at this restaurant. I walked in at 9:00 pm the sign on the door and the website says "Closing at 10:00 pm". Today is 3-8-23. Which is a Wednesday night. The OWNER WAS SO RUDE !!! He would even come out to talk to me. He refuse to come out. So I feel like this place do not deserve any customers because the owner don't know how to treat them. His Name is Shawn Pham. That is the name the young lady gave me at the counter. I'm going to call the BBB to see if there can be something done. I feel like if they are going to stop taking customers at 9:00 then that should be on the DOOR and the WEBSITE. This place has definitely changed since COVID. All the employees are different, the prices have gone up and the quality of food has gone down. They love to upcharge any chance they get now. It's always been my favorite place for sushi in Florence but here recently I feel the need to check out some of the newer establishments since this one is not maintaining its quality status. The food was pretty good. The server was good, but we felt a bit rushed. Overall, it was a decent experience. We would go back. If you have a seafood allergy, they will cook your dinner in the kitchen. Not a bad idea, but if the person going is expecting to see their meal cooked in front of them, they might be disappointed. My daughter placed an order consisting of a steak entree with egg fried rice no vegetables. The first plate consisted of vegetables and SHRIMP fried rice and steak. Returned it.. the 2nd plate was obviously the same plate as before with the shrimp removed. #1, the food was not hot. #2, the steak had rice mixed in and rice was on top of the container as well. This time I returned the plate. The waitress was nice and stated that since the head chef had already “remade” the plate twice there would not be a third and offered a refund.. well if the head chef knew how to READ ENGLISH, there would not have been a reason to remake the dish at all. Very open dining room with the cooktop tables. Always plenty of food requiring a togo box. Ordered a bottle of wine and received a glass that was likely a port glass. Hopefully that isn’t what they use when ordered by the glass.

I had an awesome meal and awesome drinks. The restaurant was full and the chefs were entertaining. My food was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. I enjoyed the Ultimate margaritas and the Hawaiian Martini. The Seafood platter had a variety of meat and the fried rice was plentiful. Will definitely be back a great family restaurant or girls night or date night restaurant.
