Always my go-to clam chowder place in Newport. I personally love Mo's annex since I'm not looking for their fish and chips. Fish and chips are only offered on the original Mo's (located across the annex). Annex has a sea side view, and you can see charter boats dock and clean their fishes and some seals. Overall food: I love the seafood alfredo, and their shrimp salad is worth trying. Their chowder, I've always loved them (personal preference).

It wuz good. Watched the marine wildlife out the windows while waiting for my oysters to arrive. Saw a lady just about lose her pretzel to a seagull. Mo's puts butter in their chowder. Yummy.

There's no fried food at this Mo's. I enjoy that, but some others may not. The food was great! They gave our grandchild a cute little shark toy with his meal. Our waitress was wonderful.
It is a small establishment and a bit crowded. The air conditioner did not work and it was hot, but not uncomfortable. Waitress told us why. I don't remember what she said, but it was a reasonable reason.
We looked over the docks where they're cleaning fish. The grandson enjoyed that. Send me find that off putting while they're eating, but we enjoy seeing the fishing boats come in with a catch, watching the seagulls, and enjoying the water while we eat.

Clam Chowder Bread Bowl
We received a recommendation to go here to try the seafood. The food was good. We tried the shrimp salad sandwich, clam chowder, shrimp skewers, and seafood pasta. The skewers were amazing. I really enjoyed the seafood pasta as well. I feel like the chowder could have benefited from a little more clam content, but it was good. We were very pleased to see that they had a gluten free menu to accommodate one of my kids that has celiac disease.

Mo's is a Newport classic and the food/service reinforces that. We had a party of 3 and we had no issues finding seating which was great considering we stopped by at 5:30pm on a Friday. The server was attentive and on top of things while also being personable and helpful. The chowder was heavenly and there is no doubt in my mind that it was fresh. Highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner when in Newport!

Always Love going to Mo's. If you like clam chowder, then get it in the bread bowl. It's very good. The Tuna and Grilled Cheese Sandwich's also looked very good. There is more than one Mo's. The one on the water side does not have anything fried. So, there are no French fries or fish and chips. The one on the other side of the street and down more does have fried food.

Really enjoyed this place! I have been meaning to stop at a Mo's cuz you see them everywhere! I had the chowder and a salad which was great. My kid enjoyed a basket of fries.
