Food taste average. White coffee good. Tomato hainam signature chicken chop looks so so, sauce pretty sweet. Always smoker surrounding, not good. Annoying noisy food bell.

This kopitiam is part of Sg Besar town history. You can see different races hanging out for traditional breakfast. The owner is very friendly. There are two brothers running the cafe, alternating every 3 years, interesting. And they're already the 3rd generation. Another interesting building is the Happy Cinema still standing next to Nam Tai. Two pax costs RM13, hard to get this price in Selangor in 2022.

Love the simple yet energetic vibe. Owner and assistant are friendly. Hidden gem found, like a return to long lost feeling of nostalgic childhood comfort food. We especially love the economic bihun mee with curry potato and nasi lemak with prawn. Kopi is kaw kaw taste too.

Traditional Kopi Tiam, operating since 1961. Good coffee. A range of nasi lemak to choose from. The owner is a great PR chap, he would make feel very welcomed in his shop.
If you're looking for a taste of history, Namtai Restaurant in Sungai Besar is a must-visit. The rustic ambiance takes you back to the 1960s when Malaysia was still known as Malaya. The decorations are tasteful, adding to the charm of the place.
I had the hainanese chicken chop, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The chicken was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the egg batter added a delicious twist to the dish. The sauce, though different from the authentic sauce, was still tasty. It had a hint of tomato ketchup mixed with chili sauce, which added a unique flavor to the dish.
The drinks were of the usual variety found in restaurants, but they were reasonably priced. I found them to be cheaper than what you'd pay in cafes, which was a plus. Overall, I found the meal to be well worth the price, especially since it contributes to the preservation of history.
If you're looking for a cozy and quaint place to enjoy a delicious meal, Namtai Restaurant is the perfect choice. The food is authentic, and the atmosphere is nostalgic. It's an experience you don't want to miss!
Traditional coffee shop, decent great place to have breakfast, variety of nasi lemak ikan bilis, ikan keli, kerang, prawn and nasi pulut wrap in banana leaf. Surprisingly this coffee shop was visited by Malay, Indian too.
