One of my favorite places to dine out with my family every week. We come here each Sunday afternoon, and it's what I look forward to most when I'm home from school. A friend and I went out here for breakfast once and ended up waiting over an hour to get our food, which was a simple mushroom and egg omelet and a salad. Food was mediocre, which is sad to say because I've loved other New Beginnings in the area. Service from the waitstaff, though, was great! This location of New Beginnings Restaurant is your quintessential local family restaurant. Located on Port in Sheldon Drive in Jenison Michigan, it is a local favorite. The decor is dated, and the floors might be a bit messy, however the food and friendly local atmosphere is what brings people here. I recommend this restaurant when you’re looking for a casual meal out when you don’t want to cook. Not for a date or upscale meal. 5 stars because the food is great, the portions decent, the prices are low, and the staff are on top of it. Excellent, friendly, and helpful service. Without those wonderful qualities I'd not recommend it because of the condition of the building. I recommend checking it out and grabbing a meal to any potential customers, and I recommend giving your building a deep clean and some basic updates to the owners. Portions are decent, and the hot chocolate was very good. The only disappointment was the American fries were cold, like they were served straight from the refrigerator.
