The guy the owner is pretty rude. We visited this during last snow. The food is not great and it's very oily. The service was pretty poor too, as once served did not even come to table to ask if we needed anything. Overall this place is strict no no for us now. The owner doesnt really know how to be courteous and a good host. That is why probably this year he has chose to provide only take out option as I am sure he must have behaved similar with others too. I love it when a restaurant labels its menu clearly for Vegan options. It makes life easier. We ordered vegan Pav Bhaji, chana masala and tandoori Roti without butter. I loved Pav Bhaji. My whole family loves this place and we make it a point to visit every time we’re in the Lake Tahoe area. Their food is markedly different from the Indian restaurants in our home town, but it’s equally amazing. The papadams are the best I’ve ever had. The mango chicken is phenomenal, the butter chicken is very savory, and the madras chicken is wonderful. Came here for a lunch with a couple other families. Initially, the server mentioned that we could not join tables, so we planned to separate the group amongst 3 tables. We then found another table that was larger (we had not ordered or even looked at menus yet, so decided to sit there. There was also only 4 more other people in the entire restaurant at that time). Immediately the server was rude and condescending to us, making remarks such as arguing with us over our seat changing and with our group. We were in line with the restaurant policy of not joining tables which is why we found larger tables before we ordered. The experience with service was extremely negative and we ended up not wanting to dine there. Can’t comment on how the food was but as you can see from previous reviews, the owner has a history of criticizing anyone who is providing feedback or any opinion that is not aligned with his. In the interest of the public, I would recommend you train your servers better and try to learn from feedback. Really bad service only one person on floor and we order gobi Manchurian they give us gobi pakora and with barbecue sauce on top they over charge us we order milk ( on menu it shown $4 nd they charger $6 each ) Not recommended Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
