I love the straightforward menu choices. Savory and sweet pies. Ales and pints. The crispy, fresh, side salad to our turkey pot pie was just the right amount and made for a delicious combo with the pie. The pie came to us piping hot. I think it was heated via microwave. But that did not detract from the taste of the savory pie. The sweet pie did not fare so well from the same treatment. The flavor of the spiced apple pie was very good. And the texture of the apple chunks in the pie was wonderful. But the crust was flat and a little chewy. No part of the crust was flaky, which was a bit of a let down. And for $9 a slice, I expected the pie to be a little more substantial. I would’ve given 3 stars, but added another star because the service was so cheerful and friendly. Should I be in the neighborhood again, I can see myself stopping by for another savory pie. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

While a generally nice place and food was fine, the service was quite slow… asked for water multiple times, and 2 of our 3 pizzas were missing important toppings and they didn’t tell us or suggest a substitute prior… overall not worth it for the price. Spark Pizza, Redmond still has my heart, sry Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 2

We ended up getting a beer, a pretzel, a slice of pie and a cocktail. My husband thought the lager he ordered was ok and the pretzel we got was good. My one thing about the pretzel was the amount of beer cheese that came with it as it was a small amount for that size of a pretzel. I got a slice of the key lime pie and the pie itself was pretty good, not too sweet and the crust was quite nice. The biggest disappointment was the cocktail in the whole order. I ordered a gin smash (gin, basil, lemon, simple syrup and club soda) but unfortunately, all it tasted like was basil water, heavy on the basil. Took one sip and wanted to gag and I couldn't taste any gin or lemon or any kind of sweetness. It's like they just forgot every other component of the cocktail. One of the staff though was nice and voided the drink off our bill. Overall, 3.5/5 based on the cocktail (which was on the pricier side) and that service was a bit slow. I think they were understaffed (only one person) so service was really slow. The pizza was surprisingly good (chewy crust, lots of cheese) and the one person behind the bar was nice. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Love this casual and fun spot- nothing fancy but a good time. Great options for girls night, dude beers out or even dates with live music, comedy and trivia. Date night people: break the ice on first date with comedy night. Laugh or roll your eyes but do it together at Northwest Brewing. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
This place has come a long way, but still hasn’t found its true identity yet. I’ve lived in Redmond for a while now and have always said this place needs another proper bar or two. One day, I was pleased to see another bar opening in downtown Redmond. The place was called Pint and Pie. I checked it out and had many criticisms. Apparently other people did too because the place was always empty. After a while however, the place rebranded themselves as Northwest Brewing and corrected many of its shortcomings. I stop in every once in a while and it definitely seems to be going in a better direction, but there is still something keeping me and others from going more often. The food and atmosphere just doesn’t have the right hook to make me want to go there to hang out and get some food or drinks with friends over other places in town. First of all, most of the ridged and upright chairs and tables are laid out in a grid in the open under bright lighting. This is good if everyone coming in is playing trivia or engaging in some other activity that requires them all to be at attention, but not so much if they want to have a more private and intimate get together. The couches in the corner by the window sort of fill this role, but if there were booth seating all along the wall with the mountain printed on it, that would help a lot. Anywhere that has booths, people always go for the booths first, myself included. Second, the menu could use some more classic bar food items. I think it’s great that they started doing pizza and they have nachos now, but if they had some other typical cheap and simple bar stuff like wings, fish and chips, burgers and sandwiches, that would bring more people in, myself included. If I’m not mistaken, there are no french fries anywhere on the menu. Blasphemy! Third, atmosphere. When this place first opened up as Pint and Pie, it was literally just tables, chairs and an admittedly cool print of Mt. Rainer covering one wall, but this wasn’t enough to give the place a hook or recognisable identity as a bar. The place has come a long way since then especially with the rebrand as Northwest Brewing, but it still feels a little sterile. Since they seem to be leaning slightly into a Pacific Northwest theme, which is cool, I think it would help if they leaned way more into that. The mountain print on the wall is good, but not enough. I’m just spit balling here, but you could get as wild, cheesy or silly with this as you want. You could have giant lumberjack and Sasquatch statues out front or inside, Twin Peaks or Nirvana memorabilia, iconic Pacific Northwest landscapes and landmarks on the walls. I dunno… Anything to make it more fun, attention grabbing and… Well… Northwest. So that’s what would get me and my friends in here more. Some booth seats, more classic bar food (french fries!) and more Pacific Northwest decor, if that’s what they’re going for, but more decor of some kind. I’d also like to add that the staff are always nice and the service is always great and the older gentleman who seems to be the owner is very hands on and clearly believes in the place which is nice to see. Redmond needs another great bar and with some adjustments I think this could be it. Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Pepperoni Pizza

Excellent fare and beers on tap. Pizza with a good crust and cheese. Their meatball appetizer should be with pasta, so good!. Nothing fried on the menu, kudos! Big plus They always have the Kraken games on with audio. It’s turning into my goto place in downtown Redmond.
