We happened to find this place when looking for a new restaurant to try over the holiday weekend. The menu, building and location picqued our interest so we headed over there. Cut to the ending...all the food was very good. Service was a bit slow and waitress was not super friendly but who cares. I am there for the food and we were not disappointed. Went here to celebrate a birthday and was not disappointed! Starting with fabulous appetizers (loved the bruschetta), and we dined on the fabulous wood-fired pizzas! Service was amazing, food flavors were delicious, and noise level was conducive to comfortable conversation. Will definitely make this a regular stop on our outings. Excellent meals. The best in the Fox Valley. Service was very good and a deep wine list. The menu and specials offered a wide variety. The calamari was phenomenal. My Penne Al Capone is a must have meal. Wonder presentation. The shrimp, artichoke and pasta was wonderful, outstanding pasta. I highly recommend this place. Our first anniversary and my hubby and my first time. I can’t say enough about what a gem this place is. The food from the first course To our amazing tiramisu exceeded our expectations. The staff was attentive and helped us celebrate our special day. I love this place and will definitely be back! Try it you won’t be disappointed!! I love this place and come when I can. It's also a favorite of my friend and my daughter. We usually come on our Birthdays bcuz we know its always amazing. The service, the food and the atmosphere. The portions are the largest I've ever seen anywhere. We went for my birthday tonight. Another excellent dinner! Thank you to Paul and the other gentleman that serviced us. Group of on a Saturday night. Party was early and sat right away. Service was barely average. Getting check after a 2 hour dinner was slow Server wouldn't separate the check. There needs to be some repairs done on the ceiling in the dining area on first floor and some other updates are needed, atmosphere is casual, old school Italian. We had a big party of 16. My pollo vesuvio was really good. Husband's lobster ravioli and baked clams were also very tasty. Others at the table did not get what they ordered, some corrections needed to be made. Another just didn't say anything at all that the sauce with her lasagna was not correct and another dish was completely overcooked. Our waiter was an ego based person. Not very approachable, but he did his best to remain kind and patient. Note: they do not split checks at all. I do need to say that they did this for us, but it's not their policy. My husband I had an intimate wedding in July, followed by dinner here at Nuova Italia. They went above and beyond to make sure our party was taken care of and the food was INCREDIBLE. We checked out a few places in the area, hoping to find a restaurant with really delicious, authentic Italian food. This place was exactly what we were looking for. Everything was great. Came in a party of eight and had the best service. Didn't wait for anything to come out. I’m no Karen - never left a review in my life but woah - ate here on NYE, the slowest service imaginable (place was not busy) waitress only checked on us maybe once every 30 mins, I asked for a drink menu and she said “just order something”… the lasagna we ordered was freezer burned but the waitress never came to check on us so we were just stuck with it.
