Great name, super staff, delicious handmade pierogi.
When I saw the name I knew I had to fly from Canada (in a city far, far away) just to come here with a new hope to my pierogi palette after years of domination by the frozen food empire. So I struck back and raced over to the other side... of the world!
(And it was pretty late at night when my flight arrived but let's not turn to that right now)
Obi-Wan Pierogi is a small take-out where you can see some pierogis made right when you walk in. There is no seating inside but you can grab some cold ones to go or have them boiled for you to eat right away.
We got a bunch of hot ones to eat outside and tasted the meat pierogi, the potato and bacon pierogi, the cabbage (sauerkraut) and mushroom pierogi, and the strawberry pierogi, and we loved them all.
*Wait a second, I felt a tremor in the for... did you say strawberry pierogi?*
Yeah! Strawberry Pierogi! They were amazing, like strawberry pie in a soft shell - you have to taste them to believe it. My Polish friends thought it was a bit sweeter than normal for them, but I found the flavour to be an epic explosion of perfection for my North American taste buds. These *are* the pierogis you are looking for.
Seriously, you have to try this place. Even if you come here just for the name, you will love to experience the Return of the Pierogi.

Be aware that as far as seating, the two yellow tables are your options unless you take the food home or somewhere else.

Great teste for reasonable price. +/- 5€ for meat or Ukrainian dumplings. I will definitely come back in the future.
I will get dumplings in plastic bag.
You can also get pancakes.
I can't recommend this place enough! The force is really with this place!

Best dumplings (in Polish: pierogi) you can buy in the Cracow! Made in front of you, several different kinds, all delicious! You can take a lunch pack with soup of the day with nice portion of pierogis. Must try if you around.
The force made a good choice here, I think we would all love to see Jon Favreau give a tour and share some of this exquisite cuisine with us.
