Traditional Japanese style cuisine. Generous servings, lovely staff and absolutely delicious food! As good as what we have had in Japan, the Karaage Chicken and fresh tuna hand roll were stand outs. We will absolutely come again when we come back to Wangarei and highly recommended for those that enjoy good Japanese food. Note: picture is half eaten food. The experience at this Japanese restaurant was less than satisfying. The manageress seemed to be rather impolite and displayed inappropriate behavior. The Ikageso and Ika rings were disappointing, as they tasted like they were sourced from a cheap supermarket brand. However, I have to give credit where it's due - the sashimi was nicely prepared. The payment process was another area of frustration - not only did it take an unreasonably long time, but their cash register seemed to be outdated and in need of an upgrade. This is my brother's favourite restaurant. I bring him here as often as I can and we always enjoy ourselves completely! The staff is so friendly and helpful/understanding and accommodating. The service was not that great, my freind and my partners order got mixed up with the other tables, and I had onion in mine when I asked for it not to be because I have an allergy. They were busy, however if they were going to be that busy they need to restrict the amount of tables. Due to them being understaffed instead of getting all the tables mixed up and things being forgotten. The steak however tasted good.

It was probably my best Japanese restaurant first time in a long time!! I had been looking for real Japanese taste in NZ for a long time and I found this is very close to what I have in Japan also it’s reasonable!!! Especially I can see the sushi is high quality. If I want this quality of sushi in Auckland I’m sure it costs way more! I will definitely come back when I miss taste of Japan..! Thank you 🙏 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
