Exceptional service and exceptional food. One wait person, Kelvin, took complete care of our large party of 31 diners. He was so impressive with his efficiency and charming personality. I ordered shrimp and grits as I'd never had it before and Kelvin said Oscar's is known for this dish. The first bite had me swooning. Absolutely beyond my expectation and the very best restaurant food I've enjoyed since before the pandemic. I have raved about my experience so much that my husband is taking me and a good friend for Valentine's Day; just one week after my first experience. Thank you so much, Oscar's, for providing such great wait staff and excellent food. My highest possible recommendation. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We enjoyed our visit. The only thing to do now is come back and try something different on the menu. My daughter had their Hamburger and Fries (she left zero crumbs). I had their Frutti Di Mare, and the scallops were delicious, flavorful and tender. My friend has their shrimp and grits which she said she enjoyed! The waitress suggested dessert which I believe was fried cheesecake with cinnamon ice cream…Loved It..and I could have eaten that first. Our first time dining at Oscars and I must admit I'm glad I decided to visit the restaurant before reading the reviews,l. Upon entry we noticed the restaurant was very clean and the quiet ambience was welcoming. Our server Jay, amazing is the only word to describe his professionalism and knowledge of the menu, what's popular to eat and drink. His predence compliments the restaurant. We never had to ask for refills as he was prompt to keep our glasses fool. He never rushed us on any decision making which invites a Fine dining experience. I recommend their appetizers dinner and desert mixed with a fine wine to relax the evening. Everything was cooked to perfection but my Halibut special for the evening was hitting on a whole new level. Greeted by 3 employees at front area. Sat and waited and waited, saw multiple servers walk past with absolutely no acknowledgment (not even eye contact) until I went back up to the front area to ask if I could get some service. Service was flat and slow. Disappointing for my first visit. Would like to go back to try more menu items but based on my experience, I don’t know that I will. Take acid chews with you for after the meal. I needed them. Bowl of she crab soup, Reuben sandwich with cucumber salad (which is cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, pickled onion and a kick), side of au jus which may be their French onion soup minus the cheese. This may be an old staple of a restaurant in Summerville but feeling ignored and server hardly being around and beverage sitting empty tells me something is off and no fond farewell. Overall, just a no from me for a return visit. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Emily was very attentive & professional. The ambiance and restaurant is beautiful and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. We were sat right away and immediately were greeted by Emily. On the other hand by the end of our experience we found ourselves Disappointed with the quality of food we received as we had to send back both of our dishes because they were not hot after waiting some time for them to arrive. We were also surprised by the portion sizes compared to the price. For example you’ll receive 4 small pcs for $14 of the crab fritter. She crab soup, Cesar salads & dessert of the month were great. Overall for $150 + 20% gratuity spent and to never interact with a manager over our mishaps we were left very disappointed and will not return or refer anyone to dine here because of this. While we went to a seminar so technically we did not pay for meal my ribeye was supposed to be medium it was barely cooked. And the broccoli was taken out of the garden. To make things even worse our taother guests on table her steak was even worse literally blood on plate. The manager refused to do anything about it. Usually Oscars a lot better but way out of line this time. Oh she did say if we were paying customers she would have done something about it. Had my birthday dinner here recently and after trying other restaurants in the area, I wish I had done a bit more research. Food was ok; fried mushrooms were heavily breaded, scallops were pretty tasteless, so was the mash potatoes and the meat they prepared for my mom was not a good cut (full of fat).
