Beautiful place for lunch, a snack or a drink with gorgeous views. New Zealand wines available for purchase. Plenty of options for seating, either indoors/undercover, picnic tables or even bean bags on the beach! Beware the seagulls - they will steal your food if you're not careful! I don't normally do lunch, but after a few hours on the ocean, the fresh salt air, I was hungry, so when visiting Otehei Bay, I called in at the Otehei Bay Restaurant. What views, great menu, good atmosphere, delicious kai, great kāwhe, tasty cider. It's definitely the place to visit when going by or stopping at Urupukapuka Island. Food is pretty bad and so expensive for no reason. Like i get it’s the only cafe/restaurant on the island but at least make the food good. Also barely any selection of food. Only thing good is the drinks. Service was okay except one of the men there are extremely rude. Atmosphere is good but only because it’s on the beach. Toilets are VERY gross. We stopped here as part of the Hole in the Rock cruise. Most scenic and beautiful island with very few people. Made for a brilliant short walk and photos. The restaurant was nice - we noticed such a nice thing with the cruise crew also helping out in the restaurant as they were short of staff. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch

We stopped here on our Super Cream Trip with Fullers Great Sights, what an island! it is such a beautiful bay with the restaurant matching the energy, it has such a summer feel with lovely, patient staff. the food was great, nice size and flavourful! we had green mussels in red Thai sauce, was delicious!
