Dinner was great. We went for my friend’s birthday and it was delicious and fresh. DJ was our server and he was very attentive. The best service I’ve had in a long time. We were a party of 5 all in separate checks, but that didn’t stop him from having great customer service. There is always negative being shown and never anything positive. Patio 44 had great food, customer service and beautiful presentation. There was also live music which was a nice bonus to our celebration. This was a nice experience at the Hattiesburg location. Visited here for Valentine. The wait was not very long and we chose to sit inside. It was chilly inside too with an opened door but not as much as outside seating. The waiter was kind to us. We ordered crawfish nachos and red beans and rice. Our order was incorrect initially due to custom requests but the waiter readjusted and we were satisfied. I would most definitely consider eating here again. Enjoyed a laye lunch on the patio with a nice cool breeze in the upper 60's. Enjoyed appetizers, mains and drinks. Overall, it was a great experience as well as a first-time visit. Fried green tomatoes were delightful with a thin crisp batter that held the tomato temperature the entire time it took to eat them. The accompanied sauces were just right. The entrée chose was the blackened chicken sandwich with seasoned fries that was on point as well. Those fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. A delightful salad before the sandwich was enjoyed as well. Spring mix with berries and grilled chicken with a honey based vinegrette. Bottled Guinness was the beer that washed everything down. Pretty good stuff at Patio 44! No complaints on the food, and the staff were fairly attentive. I did find it odd that there wasn't bread or something served before the meal, but that's about my only complaint. The food was great but the service was superb. Sydney, our waitress was absolutely magnificent. She anticipated our every need. She did everything will a smile. Her hospitality has a standard of excellence. When you eat here ask for her to be your waitress and you will have an amazing experience at Patio 44. It was our first time we literally drove 2 hours to try this restaurant. The atmosphere is really nice. They have a literal patio area (hence the name) with a nice fire place. At the time we went they had live music on the patio and don't get me started on the drinks. They were everything. Traveling and found Patio 44. We thought they had an interesting menu, and it looked great. We were extremely disappointed. We arrived and were seated inside at a table with something wet all over it. We were ignored for about ten minutes. Someone finally wiped off table. Five more minutes or more our server took drink orders and we eventually ordered the pimento cheese fritters and they were delicious. That's the only good thing we had. Duck strips were rubber, Nachos were bad. The chips were fried in bad oil and/or, not fresh. The flavors on top of the chips, not good. Our server was about the worst we have had in a long time. Patio 44 is always my go-to, I went with my partner yesterday afternoon for a pre-movie lunch. Generally, the hostess is really professional, warm, welcoming— something that matches the setting. However, whoever hosted Monday afternoon just yelled, “Y’all come on!” from the patio. It was…off, but the food has always been wonderful so we still came in. She never asked for party size, she just told us to sit down somewhere, so we chose the back wall. The only highlight was Chloe, our server. She was fantastic. There was something floating in my partner’s drink, she handled it well. My partner asked if the highlighted meals were fan favorites & Chloe wasn’t sure, that’s 100% not her fault, but it’s a good idea to know your menu though. She’s been there a month, no biggie. Food was good, until we got to the end of the side of fries and there was hair on the bottom of the plate. That was gross. Chloe got it off the ticket, and she did amazing handling it. The entire visit was really disappointing, honestly. There was a lot of gross things happening that should not have. Honestly, after the hair in fries, we didn’t see the movie because I was really grossed out. I know things happen, but quality checking should be full force whether the restaurant is full or not. The food here is delicious, but the service goes above and beyond. Our family has dietary restrictions that makes eating at restaurants tricky, and there was absolutely no issue here. Our waiter brought out the executive chef to our table to discuss what our options were to accommodate our allergies. Everyone was so friendly and we had an excellent experience. Get the Gouda grits!
