Delightfully surprised by this gem of a snack bar/cafe nestled in the Desert Botanical Garden! The menu offers good variety and the food was fresh. In particular, the salads were special and interesting. The kids meal was generous, though it would be great if it included a little drink. Decent patio but it fills up quickly during busy periods. There is also additional seating around the corner. Above all, the service was exceptional! I had to wait a bit longer for my food (someone behind me in line took my order) and the staff comped me a giant, fudgey brownie for the trouble. I LOVE that the employees are empowered to make decisions like that. Customer service is the backbone of any business. If I could make one recommendation, it would be to have a better system for calling out orders during busy times because it's rather haphazard as is. Highly recommend an affordable and tasty lunch here if you're exploring the gardens!

It's always a pleasure to visit The Patio Café, located on the hillside of the Desert Botanical Garden. It's a great place to relax and enjoy an afternoon in the sun.
The menu has something for everyone - from classic favorites like hotdogs, wraps and salads to unique Southwest delicacies like the Sonoran Dog. I highly recommend trying it! It's served with refried beans, onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, mayonnaise and mustard - all in top-notch quality. Delicious!
And no visit to The Patio Café is complete without sampling their prickly pear iced tea. Perfectly sweetened and oh so refreshing, it's the perfect drink for a sunny afternoon.
All in all, The Patio Café provides a wonderful experience that is not to be missed. Highly recommended!
