We have travel all the way from auckland to Tauranga just to try the award winning duck pie. Wow.. there were lots of duck meat in the pie, together with the creamy sauce and vegetables, the pastry so crispy and just right for the pie. Just can't use word to describe, you have to try it yourself. So regret didn't takeaway other pie. Definitely will go again. 😋 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This year's winner 🏆 🥇 for best pie in NZ is absolutely delicious 😋 Roast Duck n Creamy Mushroom & Bacon pie.

It doesn't matter how fancy an establishment is or not . it's the employees that make the place shine . The two ladies that work here are a credit to the business and to our community.. they will remember you in kindness every time.. im not much of a coffee drinker as I drink tea it's perfectly made each time.. The same lady serves me every time and never even acknowledges me - just puts my payment through and away I go. It annoys me but doesn’t usually warrant a review - until today - no greeting at all from her but when I walk away she greeted the guy behind me … it’s rude as heck and your lucky your pies are good. Had the sweet lamb curry pie which surprised me. Many choices of the pies that it’s wee difficult for me to choose at the first time. Customer service is average.

It was okay, but I have had better pies elsewhere. The pastry was the biggest let down, quiet dry and lacking flavour. Can't say the reason was that they were old pies either, as one of the two I tried was just taken out of the oven.
