My Mom and I visited Solvang for the first time and was drawn to this quaint place. It is right across from the public parking. The split pea soup is delicious. Our server Jazmine T. was the right amount of tentative.

Came during the holiday season and over Sunday brunch, there was quite a long line right outside the door, but it moved quickly. We were able to get seated inside within 15 min.s. Option for counter or outdoor seating to speed up the wait.
Food tastes great! Was my first time trying danish pancakes, can’t speak to its authenticity, but tasted nice! Not overly sweet or greasy, pretty airy actually! Tho choose berry toppings might be better than the cinnamon apples, for a more refreshing taste, and will look more appetizing. The eggs Benedict were well executed too!

Absolutely adore this place and will be coming back! ❤️ the Danish pancakes with warm blueberries were AMAZING. I now have a favorite breakfast item, I hope to find some good Danish pancakes back in L.A. because they were perfectly sweetened, light and airy, and the berries were warm. I felt like I was at somebody's home here, the service was phenomenal. Thank you!

Blueberry Pancakes
Big hype and overpriced. Food was okay, but that's the most that can be said about it. The orange juice, which was considered small cost $7. The waitress explained to us that in their establishment that size was considered large. That is highway robbery in my opinion, and I'm from LA where everything is expensive. $7 is a carton of orange juice. Two slices of toast, an extra cost $5. Again, that's how much a whole bag of toast costs. Now, if the O.J. was freshy squeezed or the toast had been special in any way it would have been understandable, but it was regular juice and toast.
We sat by the table right next to the kitchen. Every single waitress passed us several times, but none checked on us after we received our food. We had ordered in such a way that a lot of extra dishes were given to us. As soon as I received the dishes, I reorganized the food on fewer dishes to create more space. I placed the empty dishes on the side, where they were visible, but none of the passing waitresses removed them. The drop-off basket for dirty dishes was right behind us. When my husband finished his food I stacked other dirty dishes on top of it, and again, none of the passing waitresses picked up the empty dishes to create some space. I constantly had to draw the attention of the waitress when we needed anything. Not once did any of the waitresses check in on us. We were definitely forgotten about. Yes, they were busy, but we were there for an hour, and right next to the kitchen and the drop off area for dishes. We were right on their way.
None of this gave me reason to write a review until I went to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were an insult for an establishment that charges $7 for a small cup of O.J. and $5 for a side of toast. The trash cans were the cheap plastic ones without the lid where you can see everything in it. I'm happy I didn't have to see any used female hygiene products. The bathrooms looked forgotten and neglected, not only because of the shape in which I found them, but because they really looked like they belonged in a different decade, like the 80s.

Original Pancake
Very average - think Denny's - breakfast place. Used to be good decades ago. Pancakes had funky grill taste. Lattes are out of a machine you find in car service waiting rooms. Also health department issues. Lemonade poured out of old plastic syrup containers. Ice machine cover left open all day allowing skin cells and other debris. Very expensive.
