Excellent time spent (again) in this place on 30.12.23 in a big company with kids. Everyone was impressed by the balance between overall esthetics, taste and creativity of the dishes, together with a very professional and attentive staff! We had friends from outside Latvia with us, who admitted it was their brightest experience for quite some time already! Highly recommended and we look forward for the next time at Pavāru Māja. Pavāru māja deserves a special trip for a fantastic culinary experience so delightful for eyes as well. You always feel welcomed and well taken care of during service. This time we went to try set menu for a Restaurant week. 3 course meal to which we added ousters and out of the world scallops as a starter. Every dish was a flavor explosion, a perfection in textures and presentation. Note that the restaurant works only with reservations having set menus for lunch and dinner. Amazing food experience. Excellent flavors and presentation and all for a very reasonable price. We had a 6 course dinner - started with beet merangue, moved on to chanterelle soufflé (whoch was divine and I could drink it by shots!), then trout tacos, beef cheek and we finished with a sour cherry dessert that included a truffle with cherry and some stunning sour cherry sorbet. I'd give it more stars if it was an option! Highly recommend to try, but don't forget to book in advance as they source most ingredients locally and have limited capacity. Thank you for the amazing culinary experience! P.s. we checked the rooms upstairs and this is like a very high end taverna, would consider staying here too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I loved the restaurant. We had a six course dinner. The food was great and very versatile. Waiter’s were very happy, kind and friendly. They also allowed calm pets but they have to be on a leash. We have been regular guests since they opened, visiting every time we are in Latvia. We appreciate the atmosphere, the service (which is a challenge in most places in Latvia), the quality of the food as well as the drink pairing - both wine and non alcoholic , since one person always needs to drive. They use only local ingredients, which make it likely a challenge to surprise guests in winter - expect a lot of roots :) they have also recently increased prices with increasing supply and energy prices - it is still worth it! If I could I would eat there every night! The place is amazing, food is amazing and atmosphere is calming and inviting. After the first time you want to go there again and again. It’s surpises you always and I suggest to visit the place in different seasons. I love ❤️ their philosophy and their take on food…slow food and from roots to the end!
