Wife and I hit this place yesterday for a quick lunch. I swear, I could eat Indian cuisine every day! It is the one cuisine that I cannot replicate at home. Sorry about the lack of pics. I think that I am so excited when the food is going to be good that I forget to take any! As an app we got Chicken Manchurian. This is so good, you could order a side of rice & naan and make a meal out of it. I cannot remember what the wife got--probably the boring old usual chicken dish but she did like it. I am a big meat eater, but the things that this cuisine can do with rice, lentils, & potatoes are nothing short of magic so I actually usually order vegetarian. I got the Samosa Chat, medium heat. We sopped up what we could with garlic and butter naan, and took the rest home for left-overs. Not our first time here, and every time we come we are just so blown away by all of the flavors that they seem to be able to create in such simple dishes. See y'all next week Persis! Nice ambience. Was not crowded for lunch. Service is great friendly staff. Goat Briyani was good. Appetizers Chicken lollipop, chili baby corn & goat chukka all were good. Entrees Gongura Chicken was ok, the Gongura flavor & taste was missing. Goat curry and Baingan Barta was ok Goat Briyani was good. Portions were generous. The garlic naan was loaded with oil. We got take out and it was ready ahead of schedule. The food was good, although a little on the pricey side. They allow you to pick your level of spiciness by giving you four options (mild, medium, spicy, very spicy). We ordered two main courses with medium spice. It was hot and definitely spicier than expected. Sinus clearing and mouth tingling:) My advice would be to select a spice level one lower than what you want. I asked for Papad and they gave double pepper (mari) way to spicy, most places will give something less spicy. We asked for Munchirian - baby mild, even said so kids can eat it when we ordered it. The Munchirian was extra spicy, nowhere near mild. We ordered pan we tikka masala baby mild. It was sour tasted like tamato paste. It wasn’t spicy but also had no taste, just a few cubs of paneer. Mostly green peppers and onion. When we told waiter he acknowledged the Munchirian was spicy. They did not offer to remake any of it. Avoid this place if you like good food. We won’t be back. Good - **** Was visiting Charlotte and found this restaurant near to where we stayed so thought to explore it. We ordered butter chicken, naan, garlic naan, chicken tikka grilled, Hyderabad biriyani and a lamb dish. The flavor of all of them were ok. Not the best but not bad either. It takes time to fulfill the order and we went there for dinner. The menu is not that big. They have few dishes but still I liked the food. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
