Just had our baby shower here and I can't say enough positive things about the food, service and atmosphere. They are extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. Food was amazing and a great value. The manager Jay was a pleasure to work with and made sure everything was perfect. Thanks so much!! Oh my goodness! I must express my absolute delight with Piccolo Restaurant – it's truly exceptional! The culinary experience is nothing short of delizioso! Jason and Leslie, the dynamic duo, make the dining experience even more special with their amazing service. The staff's attentiveness is remarkable! Our usual weekend indulgence at Piccolo has now expanded to weekdays, and let me tell you, it's just as perfect. I cannot express enough love for Piccolo Restaurant, it's an absolute gem! I really wanted to love my experience yesterday but it was terrible. I understand that it was New Year’s Eve which could explain delays but the service was horrible. My husband, child, and I arrived first in our area and were the last to be served our entrees. We ordered the short ribs and duck so that should not have been such a wait. I should’ve taken a picture of my duck because it was near burnt. The ribs had no flavor. We couldn’t return it because we had to take our meal to go since we had to wait over an hr and a half to get our entree and we had other plans. The waiters never came to apologize for the wait, didn’t ask us if we wanted something else to drink. To pay, the gentleman at another table had to tell the waiter to come to our table even though I had made 2 attempts with eye contact and hand motion to come over. I am really disappointed. It was my husband’s birthday to top it all off and I wanted to make it special for him and instead it was ruined. This is based on two experiences. we went there for dinner (right around the corner from us) and one meal was good but the other was horrible (Pork Chop alla Toomey). I should have sent it back but I didn't. It was a very poorly constructed main dish idea. Second experience...because of medical issues we cannot go to restaurants any longer but on Christmas eve we wanted a nice meal, so we called Piccolo about take out. We called at 4:30 to place an order for 6PM. In a gruff manner we were told "it doesn't work that way". When you place the order we cook it. I said I'd call back at 5:30. When I called back, they said they can no longer take orders. When I complained, they said...we can have the meal ready after 8PM. Horrible experience and customer care. Piccolo was an overall amazing experience from start to finish. The chicken parm is to die for… we were on a schedule so we didn’t order apps but we finished off with their delicious bread pudding, which was unmatched. Piccolo is without a doubt my favorite restaurant. I cannot stress enough how good the combination of food, service, and atmosphere is here. I have been here many times, and I have never been disappointed. The chicken parm is my go-to because it is a classic, but the short rib canneloni and veal chop valdostano are absolutely fantastic as well. The service is great. Waiters are always friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. The few minor issues I've had have always been very gracefully resolved. I also really love the atmosphere here as well. It is very lively and jovial. It is great for date night, celebrations, or a night out with friends. You have to try to not have a good time here

Unfortunately, we recently lost our mother. As any of us who have lost a parent, you know how hard it is. As we were cleaning up her house and going through her things, we found an old gift certificate from Piccolo's. We thought what a great thing it would be if mom could buy us dinner one last time. It was indeed an old gift certificate, probably 10 to 15 years old... but you know how moms are. But I figured they would still accept it as it is clearly unused, and nowhere does it say anything about it expiring after a certain time. All it says is, " This document can not be replaced if lost or stolen." So this was the only disclaimer on the gift certificate, nothing about expiration date, or nothing about how it needs to be used by a certain time. So I should be good, right??...Well, you see where this is going. I called Piccolo's and explained the situation, and they say it has expired and their is nothing they can do. Worse, the gentleman I was speaking with seemed annoyed and treated me like I was an idiot and I was bothering him asking questions about this. He quickly dismissed me and gave me no solutions, I asked 1 more time if their was anything that could be done, and he quickly replied no and told me to have a good night. This is one of these times I wish common sense would have prevailed, and they would have honored the gift certificate, but not what happened at all. Not what I expected from a well-known established "family " restaurant. The crazy part is that the gift certificate was only worth $125, we...meaning all her kids, and the rest of the family would have been 10 to 15 people, that $125 would not have put a dent in our final bill. But I will for sure never come here again, or give this establishment another dollar from my wallet or a minute of my time. I suggest to go elsewhere, this town has plenty of options...Angelo's, Cefalù Restaurant, Edoardo's Trattoria, Osteria Da Nino...I can keep going...just don't go here! Meal type Other Service: 1

Both my and my dinner friend ordered the special, chealian seabass. Big mistake .. both were salted to the maximum degree possible and the fish didn't have a fresh texture or taste. Compared to the other dishes that came to the table the portion was very small and overall very disappointing. My other friend ordered the chicken scarparello, the portion was family sized but the pieces of chicken were so overly cooked that they were dry as a bone. As you can see one diner spat it out ... (sorry)... Another dish was the shrimp special, though a huge portion size it was overly sauced and the coating on the shrimp was soggy. The pinot noir was delicious.

The appetizer with mozzarella was very good. We just ordered pasta. Pappardelle all Bolognese was delicious. But don't order the pesto. It's just a green butter sauce with spinach.
