The waitress is not good. Never came to pick up our empty plates. She was on the phone next to the countertop near the cashier. She was too busy on her phone. Good food and very bad service!!! Super nice people and delicious food! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Jessica who made for us a very pleasant experience becoming acquainted with Peruvian cuisine and ordering takeout for a dinner party. The chicken fried rice amazing, grilled steak amazing, linguini with cheese amazing, veal hearts amazing, deserts also amazing!! Disappointed tonight, we have been going here for years and really enjoy their seafood soup (Parihuela). Tonight it had a bitter taste, so disappointing. We only had a few spoonful's before we just could not eat anymore. No apology or discount was offered, because we did not tell them sooner or demand to take it back to the chef. They used to have one of the best roast chickens (pollo ala brasa) but now their chicken is over seasoned and the taste is awful (bad stomach ache). The service is fair, but the place looks like it needs an upgrade. There is no restaurant that looks like this in Lima, Peru anymore. Hope they change for the best. Let me start saying that this is one of my favorites restaurants and that Ceviche de pescado is one of my favorites dishes and I have been here for years. With that said, today I visit the restaurant with a hoodie and not the most neat appearance let’s say . I never feel judged until today, the sad part is that today is a hard day for me and I was looking forward to have a peaceful good moment. When I entrance I was not greeted and walk to the table, there was three women putting together to go boxes ignoring me, until the person of to go orders ask me and told me to seat down. Short after a waitress arrive and I ordered tap water with lemon and the ceviche. She came back with the order in 3 minutes approximately, I was surprise until I taste part of the vegetable served that is supposed to be hot and was room temperature adding to that the tap water was room water temperature and she didn’t put the lime or ice cubs I have to remember her about the limes. This is my first time that the vegetable is not hot and the tap water is room temperature they used to deliver it with a jar or at least with ice cubes. I tip 25% not because of you, but because of my character. I didn’t know that the type of service in this restaurant depend on appearances, what a shame for the restaurant. The restaurant must treat anyone that sit down and is willing to pay obviously the same way.
