Pit Burger was delicious- teriyaki plate came with shredded lettuce topped with 1000 island and a pickle and a toasted bun. It was a lot of food for $13. Good sauce to chicken ratio and the chicken was tender and not dry. Waited about 15-20 minutes for my food so I second other reviews where they advise to call ahead. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Was in the area so wanted to try Pitburger since its been a Gardena staple for so long. Cash and take out only, ordered a single Teri Burger and waited for a bit. Wasnt dissapointed when i opened it up. The meat wasnt grissled, perfect ratio to meat and bun. Ample napkins since its a bit messy with the Teriyaki sauce and mayo melded together. Not true teriyaki. No flavor whatsoever, bland taste tough meat. Ordered (2) teriyaki combo plates and teriyaki burgers. Burger had tough meat as well, soggy and flat with that heavy duty mayonnaise. Order taker upsold on onion rings supposedly very delicious but not true. Can’t believe this place has so many stars. What a waste of $45 and our appetites!!! Anytime I have cash, I tell my husband that we should go to PitBurger. My go-to has been the teriyaki burger but I recently got their teriyaki plate and it was so good. The rice was fluffy and the meat was tender. I ate it ridiculously fast. Then we tried the chili hot dog, it was solid. We went recently on the windiest night and it was so worth it to get this food. Every time I come to Los Angeles I have to come here to Pit Burger. It’s been over 3 years since I’ve had it and I’m so glad nothing has changed. The teriyaki chicken plate is my favorite and I always get extra toast. Make sure you hit the ATM. it’s cash only. Synonymous with Gardena, it has a great reputation for good reason. Quality meat, made-in-house teriyaki sauce and great chili. Pricing is fair and portions are satisfying. Another Gardena Classic spot. Pit Burger serves up big portions of Teri Beef or Chicken. The Teri Burgers are awesome, don’t forget to order Chili Fries
