We happened to see the sign for their bread farmer's market while we were passing by for something else, and we're so glad we decided to duck in to check it out. We ended up grabbing a few loaves, everything was delicious and the person we spoke to was incredibly friendly and sincerely seemed happy to share details about their bread. It's gone on our list of places we intended to stop at everytime we're nearby.

They bake and sell amazing breads of all kinds. Their Farmers Bread is my hands down favorite. It's so flavorful that you can eat it plain. All their bread and rolls are well made and crafted. The cinnamon raisin, marble rye, pumpernickel, etc. Rick, one of the owners, is super friendly as is all of their staff. I always have a loaf on hand or one in the freezer. Keep up the good work!

Saturdays and Sundays the bakery of open for sales of their bread. The employee was very nice and explained all the ingredients and baking techniques to us. The bread was great!

I am originally from the Bronx, New York. I know good bread. I now live in Carmel, Indiana. Indiana is not known for their bakeries or bread making. I was passing thru Pittsfield and I smelled bread. I stopped into Pittsfield Rye Bakery and was delighted. I bought the marble rye and " death by chocolate" bread. They were delicious!! This bread made me so happy.

Every crumb I’ve ever had from Pittsfield Rye has been exceptional. No exaggeration whatsoever. I send loaves to my family in the midwest and just got a call from my sandbox buddy in Los Angeles telling me that all she wants for Christmas is a loaf of Pittsfield Rye seeded rye bread! The staff and owners are warm, friendly, and professional. My only wish is that they had more hours. I recommend them and their products completely and without reservations of any kind.

read the ingredients in pittsfield Berkshire rye bread. It has no rye flour! It has rye chops..a berry sort of like a seed.. It also has other seeds such as seseme. Might as well call this seseme bread since the rye chops are listed as being about equal to seseme and sunflower seeds. Last time we buy their "rye".
