Hungry and craving a really good Italian-styled pizza. I stopped here for a first visit on my way home. After reading the inspiring owner's story while waiting in the lobby, I was anxious to eat my pie. To my surprise, it was terribly disappointing and definitely not worth the price. I've had Neopolitan Pizza before, and this one was just not good. I ordered a large 1/2 Margherita 1/2 Lucca. The dough was wet and bitter. There was just far too much cheese and barely there sauce...couldn't taste any at all. It appears to be more hype than substance and quality. here. The manager tried convincing me that the over-cheesing and wet dough was characteristic of Naples-styed pizza. After which, I figured I was just not gonna get a good pizza here. Delicious food and great atmosphere. The pizza is fantastic (we usually get the prosciutto) and the ingredients are always fresh. Seating indoors is set up for sharing (several long tables) and a large wraparound porch with outdoor seating. Excellent pizza - nice people - would definitely recommend takeout vs dining in. I had a colleague recommend this place and he called it the best pizza in the area. I haven’t had tried all the area pizza places but I’m guessing he’s probably right. It’s a brick oven, quick cook, thin crust pizza with fresh and excellent ingredients - it was superb. I would consider this more of a grab-n-go with indoor and outdoor seating vs a true restaurant experience. You order at the counter and all the drinks come in cans/bottles that you take to your seat. They provide plates and then you grab your own silverware and “napkins” are on a roll at the table. None of this is bad - just setting expectations. The pizza was very expensive. I think we ordered a $17 cheese pizza and put $16 worth of toppings on it. That’s an expensive 16” pizza because all the toppings are in the $3 - $4 range. I’m very satisfied with the overall experience and will like be back to order my pizza to go! 😎 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

This is consistently named one of the best pizza places in Roswell. If you want Neapolitan or NY style pizza, this the place. I love the low maintenance style of the place and community tables. Chill and fast. Fun to see the ovens. The dough is the best and the sauce is amazing. I love this pizza. We have been eating here for many years. The ladies behind the register have often been less than professional but we always returned because the pizza was excellent. However, today we ordered and the pizzas have shrunk by at least 30%! Still taste good but $24 for a 12” cheese pizza is ridiculous. So many other options. So check out what the owner has responded with. As a matter of fact, check out all their responses to bad reviews. Run a better restaurant, dude and stop spending time on the internet. Rudely treated by staff. We brought our family in after my granddaughter’s baptism but was basically thrown out because our party was too large. Never again. Stay away. Great atmosphere, love the homey vibe. Pizza is above average. Ingredients are fresh and you can tell they are made with care. The pepperoni was great. Service was very attentive. 7.9/10

I must say I am so dismayed to read several comments like the experience I had today at Pizzeria Lucas. I say that, because, I didn't want anyone else to feel like I felt. What really saddened me was to read the uncaring, arrogant responses from the owner to some reviewers who stated their terrible treatment as customers. That told me so much! There is a very big disconnect toward understanding that treating customers in humiliating and rude manners drives away business and does harm. When my family came in there today, we were just happy to be together and looking forward to a nice visit together. It was anything but that. Totally unexpected and out of the blue, we were talked to rudely and were humiliated. We had just walked up to the register to order! Something is really wrong with the girl who literally, made us feel so unwelcome, much the same as others experienced in the reviews. We will never return and hope our review will deter others from going there and subjecting themselves to such hostility. The owner stated in respose to comments that customers feel "entitled". Wow! It is the exact opposite. The owner, if that who the girl is, who we encountered there, thinks she is "entitled" to hurt customers with no regard for anything or anyone. I never, ever encountered such an experience like that before. She actually thought I was rude to her! I was mostly in shock and disbelief and didn't want to hear anymore from her. FYI: We had preordered our pizza and paid for it, so we didn't stay to eat it there. It was clear we were not welcome to be there. Honestly, the pizza was mediocre. Not worth it. We had been customers over the years and knew it was expensive, but, liked the pizza. It is NOT the same pizza as it was. That was another disappointment! Food: 2 Service: 1

Friendly employees! On a Thursday evening, the restaurant was emptier than we thought. Very similar pizza like Antico. I remembered they used to have self-serving sauce station (parmesan cheese, oil, chili oil, garlic, etc), but now it's provided upon request and come in in a little sauce cup. I preferred the self-serving style. If business get busy, it could be a bit cumbersome for them if they have to also serve the sauce items. Great pizza as usual, we will definitely recommend it!
