I was completely blown away today with the great customer service I had just experienced with Linda the catering manager. She went above and beyond as I was having an office meeting and had issues placing the catering order. She was very kind and understanding.
The food is always fantastic at this location as well. I definitely recommend this Potbelly to everyone. Thank you for saving my lunch meeting Linda.:)

I love Potbelly, it is my favorite place to get a sandwich. But this particular one in Crystal Lake is absolutely terrible when it comes to delivery. Four times in a row there’s been an issue. They couldn’t accept my payment (even though my card wasn’t expired and I had sufficient funds). They delivered late twice, and marked my food as delivered when it never showed up. It’s frustrating when a place you love just can’t do simple things right and make things complicated…

Today we tried the new Gryo Flatbread and the Mamas Meatball both were really good. I would suggest getting the gryo on white bread instead of the flatbread.

middle aged blonde woman who served me yesterday was extremely rude off the bat, cut me off while i was talking, asked me several times what i wanted on the sandwich and then scimped me on all the toppings. i go to potbelly’s and get the same thing every week and the sub i got was half the size it normally is, it barely had any toppings on it. the sub i ordered was supposed to have hummus, avocado, mustard mayo and oil and the sub was dry. we will not be returning and i recommend just going to another location because you won’t get what you ask for. potbelly’s please correct this kind of behavior because it does not meet the customers standards!

The skinny soup and sandwich flat and a children's 5$ meal. The service was relatively quick and the food was exactly what we wanted. My son got the mac n'cheese and it was very good... no simple kraft boxed noodles, a great amount of options. I got the mushroom and cheese flat with hot peppers and it was too good. It was perfect portions. We ate well and left with no regrets
This store is not a good one. Today I placed an on line order, and they quoted an 1 hour + wait time. Only 3 employees, not a large line but no ability to accommodate producing a sandwich for nearly 90 minutes. With a post 2 PM promise time, and a 3 PM close time for the store, I have zero confidence in this place.
Online tools do not provide the ability to cancel or change the order, and the store staff have no ability to cancel or refund the transaction without a 2 to 5 day wait period.
The manager did a good job staying calm in the face of my irritability but she needs to find a new key phrase. The fifth time hearing "I'm sorry you feel that way but, I can't help you" does nothing to deescalate the situation.
I doubt very much that they will actually process that refund.
I ordered two sandwiches to go and got home to realize the chicken salad was missing on my one sandwich. I called and they offered to personally bring a new sandwich and make it right! Blown away and very happy. I am now well fed and happy. Everyone makes mistakes, but only legit good people will make it better than right. The sandwiches from here are always delicious and everyone is super nice! Thank you Crystal Lake Potbelly!
