I've updated my review. Place has gone up hill and everyone in there is so cheerful and friendly. The food is good, sometimes the potatoes are under cooked but that's it. Everything else I've had has been cooked good and tasted yummy. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Want a great little throwback to the 50's? Then this is your place. Cozy atmosphere, really good food, reasonable prices and portions (in this economy) and friendly staff make this a great stop if you love diner's. I travel frequently and get burgers every where but this time I opted for something most restaurants can't master, an open faced tuna melt. Friends that were dining with me said the burgers they had were great but I have to say I'm glad I strayed to the Tuna. It's difficult to make great tuna but this diner did not disappoint which in my mind says that the other items on the menu are probably prepared just as well. After all, it's great to change up from time to time and it's good to know that when you do want something a little different you can count on the local "burger joint" to come throught! This place has recently reopened under new owners and has been completely remolded. It looks amazing. The staff is new and still learning. I hope they get a little faster. The chocolate milkshake was overpriced and didn't have a lot of flavor. The burger was fresh and tasty. Looking forward to coming back and trying something different on menu.

3 stars only to draw attention :) absolutely amazing place! Highly recommend for the atmosphere and personal interactions you will receive from the staff. Let me preface by saying the staff is 100% the best! Lauren, Lori, Mason and Phil make the entire place!!! The atmosphere they create together is amazing, so welcoming, so knowledgeable! They have fun and love what they do! It shows. They could run the whole place themselves. Love, every time I come in to see their faces, the always ask how I’ve been and I’m happy to hear about what’s going on with them, they are amazing people and any resturant should be happy to have them on staff! I do have a couple qualms with the place but they all revolve around the ownership. Owner could do some learning and reviewing of his standard pa resturant laws and food health code regulations. As per federal regulation for PA restaurants are required by law to follow safety standards for high chairs in restaurants. I’ve been asking for a year for pottsville diner to get new high chairs as neither of the 2 they have, have proper buckles to restrain a child. And one has broken wood piece. Not safe for my child!!! Also I’ve heard myself on more than one occasion the owner talk disrespectfully to the staff, same staff mentioned above. The same staff that make my day every time I’m in the building, the same staff trusted to run the building when owner isn’t around. The same staff who are amazing people and always smile when I come in the building and make sure myself and my child are 100% happy with our service. They deserve to be treated as such! In addition, as a serve safe manager certified individual, id be happy to review some basic temperature holdings with the manager should he wish a refresher course. Aka, yes sir, I was in the building when you berated your staff today for following basic health code. :) good on them for having the guests best interest in mind. I had a great experience here!!! My oatmeal came out late and even tho i already had my omelet come out at a good time they comped my entire meal bc i waited for my oatmeal. HOW SWEET :) i will definitely be coming back!! Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is such a quaint little diner that really showcases the 1950's in a pleasant, non-overbearing way. From the 1950's decor, to the music softly playing in the background it really takes you back to a simpler time. When I walked in an hour to close, the server, Destiny, greeted me straight away and offered a booth for me to sit at while taking care of a couple customers sitting at their old-timey dining bar. She brought me their extensive menu, took my drink order and explained the special and soup of the day. I ordered a Blue Moon burger that was cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced ($12 with an over 30% tip). After the other customers left, she and I began talking and I ended up moving to the bar to complete my meal with friendly conversation. If you end up stopping in this small mountain town I would HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try, you won't be dissappointed. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

Love everything about this charming place. The people are sweet and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing and uplifting. The California burger and fries are So flavorful. The parking lot is easy to mess But worth turning around for.

The food was absolutely terrible. Everything was cold and over priced and I ended up with a hair in my food, thankfully they ended up taking the food off the bill. I never looked twice at the building in the past few years but lately I've notice the parking lot always full. I wanted a good diner breakfast and figured I'd try it out. Wow I was surprised how clean and nice it is inside. Very nice staff willing to joke and accommodate some extra requests. I took my parents while they were in town and they loved it so much they sent pictures to their freinds in order to come back. Music played is all 50s and 60s which is either nostalgic for some or nonabrasive to others. Bright atmosphere and very clean. Excellent food, great breakfast and salads. Will be going there often when I need to grab a bite and just sit back.
