It was an unassuming but grandiose bar in the middle of a historic building. Giant snooker table, marble flooring and lotz of seating. Seems like a place for locals but we were welcomed warmly and felt right at home. Drinks were the cheapest in the area we found, with bar snacks provided which was a really lovely surprised. We came back a couple of times it was that nice! Price per person €5–10 Service: 5

Quiet and peaceful haven for a snack or cup of tea. Easily passed by in street and so missed. A bit pricey though: (2 cups of tea at €5). Interesting photographs and opulent decor from bygone colonial days. Worth a visit.
