Stopped by on a Saturday in February around 11am and we were surprised to see only one other couple in this large restaurant. Interior is quite dated and dark inside. Although there were only two tables to service, food took nearly 30 mins before delivery to our table. Super Nachos with no re-fried beans was served hot and was tasty; however, the salsa was too watery. Also ordered a diet coke which had a chemical taste probably because the glasses were not properly rinsed before reuse. The Puerto Vallarta in Port Orchard has an updated interior and superior service so we won't be returning to this location in Gig Harbor. Quick service even though the parking lot was full! We didn’t venture out too much on food this time but we loved the basic food we got IE enchiladas and tacos. Always love chips and salsa! Fresh tortillas made up front. Everyone was very friendly. I wouldn’t say the Mexican food is amazing but it’s good. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Decent looking inside, servers were good. Service was as fast n wasn't to busy on Saturday. Pretty mediocre food tho, got the fajitas for two plate, good fajitas, horrible tortillas like worse than mission tortillas for the flour it was insane n thought one had mold so I didn't eat them, rice n beans had to taste either. Vegetable n steak were good tho n chips n bean dip is nice for free, would not recommend for good food but was convenient at the time so still glad we went. The bar setting is great, especially if you want to watch sports. Second time going recently and it was great. Recommend coming at a time when less people are going to be there if you don’t want to wait since it seems to always be busy. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Definitely recommend. I’m thinking this is the best Mexican restaurant in the gig harbor area. They use quality ingredients and prepare it perfectly. She had carne asada, medium rare. Large portion and perfectly presented, cooked precisely as ordered. I got a fajita burrito. Tender beef, grilled onions, beans and rice. Way more food than I could consume. Decor is amazing, food was extremely expensive! I didnt bother looking at a me u because I already knew what I wanted, i ordered 4 street tacos no rice and beans and a soda. My bill was almost $25!!!! Literally $18 for four tiny street tacos with just meat and some parsley! Wasn't happy at all to say the least! It was also my sons birthday,so we let the staff know so they could do their traditional fried ice cream and song... and they almost forgot we had to tell them twice and almost everyone who came to eat with us for his birthday had left by the time they finally came and sang to him. And it's always been a well known tradition that they Bring over a Sombrero and whoever birthday it is wears it while they sing...and that didn't happen either. Best Mexican restaurant on aging Harbor! Food is amazing, their service is fast and their servers are polite and respectful and very responsive! Overall, this place gets 5 stars, price, food and service are great!
