Had dinner on Friday night. We sat for 10 minutes before a server came to our table. The baked potatoes were cold and had to send back to reheat. We got to the restaurant at 5:30, no excuse for cold baked potatoes. We asked what the soup of the day was and no soup was made on Friday night. This was a good stop. The food was reliable, fresh, not frozen. The Avocado salad was very good and large enough for two. I had heard great things about the food here which is why we made it a destination stop. Our group really seemed to enjoy what they'd ordered. A few years ago I went to this restaurant. A waitress took my drink order. After 30 minutes, no drink and no order. It wasn’t like it was busy as I was the only one in the place. Today I decided to give them another try. Got waited on immediately. Drum plate was $13.50 Was told there was a drum plate. Then she said it was $16.00. They said they had changed the menu. I thought you printed new menus and that’s when the prices went up. Not just charge what you want. At least mark it out and write the new price on it. They made me feel like they just charge deciding on who you are. I’ll never go there again.

Odem, and south Texas as a whole, are so fortunate to have such a great place to eat delicious seafood!!! The coconut shrimp is THE BEST, but there's nothing bad on the menu!
