A beautiful place in the old town of Liepaja. Authentic building, great outdoor terrace. Peaceful environment, excellent service. The traditional "Liepājas menciņi" was amazing. Waitress forgot to bring my drink but she was nice. Potatoes were sweet like sugar, literally sweet (and those were not sweet potatoes). Chicken was almost raw, and clearly was missing ingredients shown in the menu. 2 soups were great though, no problems in that department. I personally think we simply were unlucky with food choices this time, this seems like a nice place. But still, objectively speaking i cannot give better rating.

I liked the place and the fact they even had a menu in Lithuanian. The food was good but it wasn’t amazing, and I didn’t feel the maple syrup on my pork rib at all. They came to collect our dishes at 22.05 and told us that the kitchen was closed, but they didn’t come in advance to ask if we wanted desserts or any last orders. Nice service but that’s all. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place, the food wasn’t safe to eat. We ordered pork with mushrooms and potato gratin and my husband ordered chicken pasta. The chicken in my husbands pasta was definitely inedible, it was cold while the pasta was hot which made no sense but as I tried it I had to immediately spit it out as it tasted off, most likely very old chicken which wasn’t safe to eat. The pork I ordered was nice but potatoes that came with it were barely warm. Very disappointing that the food ruined our experience, the waiters did a good job and the place has a potential but the food is terrible and food hygiene is not followed through. At first glance place looked promising. We seated in the back yard and waiter came up quite quick. Their English was basic but we ordered. The order was beer, garlic bread,salad and one dish from kids meniu. Garlic bread was okay. Kids meniu dish was best of what was ordered. Fresh vegetables salad with duck breast was highly disappointing. It looked quite good then it got served(though I have expected there will be a bit more meat) but after digging deeper into the plate I started notice there was wilted salads covered under more freshly looking ones. It looked like the salads you got from store in a plastic bag, though they were near their end. Very disappointing and sad experience, from place which looked so promising. I ordered bull testicals. It was good, maybe littlebit more sides next time? Interior was plane, nothing superior. Kids menu was too short and dishes size was small. I asked is it possible to get extra salmon fillet next to the children "letter french fries" but I was not🙄 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

A restaurant that has mastered the art of "active ignoring"! Two families came here for dinner. The bartender immediately warned us that we would have to wait for the food for 1:30h. Since we were in no hurry, we agreed to wait. First red light: as we sat down at the table, the people nearby got up and left saying they had been waiting for their food for two hours. Second red light: our order was taken only after 20 min. in another 20 minutes brought drinks. Third red light: while we were patiently waiting for the hot dishes, we tried to get the waiter to refill the drinks. We tried waving, calling with our voice or simply with our eyes - it didn't work! Finally had to go directly to the bartender to help resolve the situation. Hot dishes arrived after 2 hours and 10 minutes and the saddest thing is that they weren't worth waiting for so long... bland dishes and some clearly had too much salt. Bottom line: this eatery doesn't really care about the customer. On the bright side, you can learn how not to do at the restaurant - because it has it all. Will we return? Absolutely not! Excellent food and service. Beautiful backyard. Hot dishes cost around 10-12 Euro. I took the ribs (12 Euro) and they were great.The chicken was great as well. For kids they have fries (letters) with tomato and cucumber. Beer costs 4,5 Euro. They also have a corner for kids where my kids played. To sum up everything was great just the price could be a bit lower.

To start with location is great, easy to access and setting very good. There was even a stage, but no music at all untill waiter was aked why is it so. Unfortunatelly owners or managers are not reasonable as the restaurant was left with bar waiter, wateress and possibly one chef. That meant on the busy summer day the service was massivly delayed and just an order taking was around 20mins. As I have great experience in hospitality it was a bit poor to not attend guests enough. At least to appologise for the dalay, asking if anyone wants more drinks. But again that is not fault of the waiters its who ever made one person serve that many gusts. Food was good, wouldnt say it was something extra super tasty, nothing stood out, just an ordinary nice meal. Stars only 3 thanks to speed, but seperate for food 4 out of 5. And for the managers in charge of schedules to get an idea how badly slow service was - it took 20 minutes to get one cocktail.

Nice place and friendly staff. They were kind enough to serve us dinner after 9:30pm in an absolutely desert place. Food was delicious with a roasted duck and a baked fish & potato pot that made us very happy in this cold evening and somewhat quiet town. Definitely a good spot.
