Great place, great food. Best tomato mozzarella salad I have ever tasted. Fresh fish cooked on the grill was amazing and makes me want to eat fish more often. Very popular place and almost full at lunchtime. Table reservation may be advisable. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This place was incredible. They have a huge outdoor patio and then they also have a side patio with adorable pillows on the floor. Every where you sit you can see the ocean. They do have limited vegetarian dishes but the salad was amazing. It came with berries and chickpeas and seeds and all sorts of delicious things. They also have melon. And french fries. I went with a group of people and the table that we sat at was round and it was also in the corner. So I could see everyone and also see the ocean. The wait staff was really friendly. Overall the vibes were great. The restaurant is located next to a group of about five other restaurants. They all share a big dirt parking lot. We had to drive around a little bit to find parking but eventually did get it. I went during lunchtime during the week at the end of summer. We had a reservation booked and they seated us immediately. We had to flag down the waiter at the end to give us our check but in general the service was prompt and I would highly recommend this place. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Food was good, dessert was the best, outside area was covered and kept you from the cold sea breeze. View was great, it seemed like this was the place that the locals visited. This is a sea food paradise. We all had the sole, and we all simply loved it. The French fries were lovely as was the salad. Great atmosphere- looking out at the last of the sea bathers, then the yellow to red orb of the sun sinking below the horizon. Great spot. Disappointed with the evening we had here although the sardines were fabulous. The slices of bread delivered to the table in a brown paper bag should be a warning. Our waiter was unhelpful and generally made us feel like we were a nuisance to him, they have no children’s menu and when we enquired we were told they could just have some grilled chicken. Our daughter opted for prawns rather than chicken and asked the spicy sauce be on the side which it was but they arrived to a 6 yo without being shelled or cleaned. The food was fresh but plain and without garnish as the pics show, everything comes with a wedge of lemon even the lamb chops? We didn’t bother staying for desert or a drink and unlikely to return. Wonderful family-owned and run fish restaurant overlooking the stunningly beautiful Ancao beach. Great fish, superbly cooked and the service is always simply stunning..and they also serve delicious lamb chops! . Completely overpriced. We payed 24€ for 8 regular prawns (3€ each)...

We were so excited to arrive for lunch today and were seated promptly. A waitress called Dina attended to us and we were immediately surprised by her disrespectful attitude. She was rude, unpleasant, unhelpful and condescending. We called her back to change one of the orders at which point she walked away flailing her arms and shouting something in Portuguese which was embarrassing for us and the rest of the staff who she was trying to amuse by this behaviour. We ordered our food - clams, sardines, peri-peri chicken. The chicken was absolutely dreadful and tasted of fish. It seems to have been been boiled and then grilled. I ate very little of it. We asked another waitress if there was any way we could have a little more shade and were told absolutely without any concern, “no”! Meanwhile, the restaurant was only a third full! We own a property here in Vale do Lobo and we will never return there and we shall tell others of our experience. Imagine our utter SHOCK at discovering that DINA (the rude waitress) is the owner! What a pity to have that sort of attitude and take money from unsuspecting customers when you have such a wonderful situation, right on the beach! For outstanding Portuguese and other cuisine we would recommend Senor Frango, 2 Passos, O’Ribeiro, A’Sardinia, Casavostra etc. This was my third and last visit to this awful place - the ONLY restaurant where the staff have been less than friendly, helpful and fantastic. I gave Antonio ta Certa three chances and they took our money three times. Never once was the food great. Be warned.
