Great place to eat a full restaurant menu. This place has true Oaxaca flavors with an added section of basic restaurant selections. But don’t be fooled by the options, they are all well made and flavorful. Food is made with quality ingredients. Service is top notch and you will be pleased with the ambiance. Most days there is live piano music. Accessible and close to many places in the city. Not cheap but a great breakfast in this very busy restaurant, a real haven opposite the ADO Terminal. Very quick efficient service in a sort of 60s USA Diner type of atmosphere. They allowed us in with large rucksacks and we had a great breakfast there. Would recommend it, but please note that we were offered sweet cakes in baskets when we sat down. We assumed that this was complimentary. We were wrong. They later charged us for the rolls. I suggested that they should have told us in advance that there would be a charge, but whether they change this practice, who knows? Breakfast at this place: go for the “enfrijoladas” (unexplainable in english to convince you if I describe it), but that are delicious. You might want to skip lunch after eating them, but worth the calories. You can always do a diet later. 😋

No es tan caro pero no hay nada rica de pan, jugo, sopa ni filete Ay, dios míos!!!! Not that expensive compared with atmosphere but there's nothing delicious(included soup, bread, juice!!!!). OMG

The flavour was great, and the sauces were amazing. The tortillas were a little dry, which for the overall price shouldn't happen. Service is great. The looks of the place could use a little makeover since it looks outdated and sad. Price per person $200–300 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

This is by far the best restaurant in Mexico. Hands down. I only went there because I had time to kill while waiting for my bus to Mexico City. I was not well dressed (but I should've been) and they treated me like a princess anyway. This food was so exquisitely prepared that I was shocked. I ordered the avocado salad and was served a plate of the most beautiful, fresh, heirloom lettucei have ever seen. It was accompanied by an entire avocado, thinly sliced; and a huge pile of Oaxaca cheese. I couldn't believe my eyes, my mouth, and my stomach. I also ordered the chicken tacos; which were actually flautas. Fried to perfection- they melted in my mouth. Best dining experience I've ever had in Mexico.

I ate a delicious "Tampiqueña meat" with "guacamole", smashed beans and slices of hot piment. 😋 of course "tortillas" with my dish. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you like elaborate service and good food, this is for you. We go there when we crave american food, like the generous cheeseburger platter. Portions are huge. Salads are done well. I love their limonada, but on request, you can get a good whiskey soda. We were very pleased by the basket of variety breads, baked in house, especially the onion foccaci and the herbed grissini. Service is very attentive, almost to a fault. El Colibrí has been the prestige restaurant of many years for Oaxacan family gatherings. You will pay above average prices for this, but it's worth it.

Great place for family. Is in a higher price range but is really nice, just maybe is not so for the younger guys 😉
