El Batey is one of my favorite local places for lunch. Now with the pandemic they are only serving carry out but before we used to go to their small dining area. They have a local Puerto Rican menu which is pretty steady and the main dishes are available daily. They do have some different dishes daily. Prices range from $7 - $15. I love the chicharrones de pollo, which is one of the cheapest dishes. Portions are large. Sometimes enough for two to eat. Highly recommended.

Wow, the food is incredibly good. Great prices too. The only reason that I did not give it a five star was because they don't offer coffee or beer....

El Batey is the quintessential place to enjoy superb and tastefull caribbean fusion cuisine here in Caguas. I will, without any hessitation, say that this is "The Place", the "Tour de force" and in all it's right the masterpiece of food confectioners in the whole area. Prepared with love to His craft by Chef Quique, he does not presses the brakes in the taste and flavor highway. Attentive staff will cater to your likings, service is swift. And the variety of food offerings is sensible to everyone's taste. Pricing is all around affordable, portions are generous. A ten star place if I would have a say in it.
