Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The service is good, the waitress is pleasant and attentive to the guests. But the food, unfortunately, ruined the whole experience. We ordered fish mix for two person. One fish that had a head smelled bad. Other fish were poorly cleaned inside and had worms. It's a pity that we left hungry. Be more attentive to the fish. One of the best experiences we have had. This beautiful family owned and operated restaurant is tucked away is a small Oceanside town. If you’re an English speaker, the server, who happens to be the daughter of the owners, speaks beautiful English and is so sweet and caring. She explained all of the appetizer and cheese options and helped my mother and I choose a wonderful lunch. Afterwards, her father came out and spoke with us and you could see the pride in his establishment, family, and cooking come through in the conversation. What a wonderful restaurant and even more wonderful family. Please try and make a stop for lunch for dinner if you’re looking for authentic Portuguese cuisine. One of the best restaurant we did on the island unexpectedly. Claims were delicious and fresh. The cheese board was the best we had here. The fresh cheese was beyond delicious. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The lady who cook was helping over and nice too. Wine are good. Price are reasonable. Atmosphere is local and simple. Amazing service and food. Close by to Chá Gorreana plantation/factory. Mathilde, our waitress was terrific and speaks impeccable English. Her father is the chef, her mother helps in the kitchen and also helps serve the food. A wonderful hidden gem, family business. The shrimp is outstanding (we ordered a second, and even a third for takeaway), the mackerel was delicious, and the chicken breast flavorful and moist. After our hike at Trihlo Moinho do Felix we stumbled into the quaint seaside town of Maia and enjoyed a spectacular Portuguese feast of Tuna Pate, Shrimp and Bife at Fim de Seculo. The owner was welcoming, with fun humor and very helpful with food suggestions. Also, isn’t this jug of wine the cutest? What a gem of a place. The restaurant offers its unique Azores home style cooking and portions that will leave you truly satisfied. Along with friendly insightful service that really offers a glimpse into the true way of life you find in Maia. The waitress was so honest, as I dropped money without realizing, only to have her tell me a few days later when I returned for Polvo, a traditional octopus and potato dish. I highly recommend and will return in the near future. Very happy this the quality of the food! The fish was very well cooked and the chef used local herbs and ingredients. Thank you for such a tasty first dinner in São Miguel! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for authentic and delicious dishes.

We ate there twice and it was really good both times. We had shrimps, lapas and the mixed fish plate for 2 and it was just really good. Maybe the best fish we had on this island. Very friendly stuff as well.
