Rexy was a delightful place for an impromptu lunch in Għajnsielem, Gozo. The menu is traditional Mediterranean, including meats, fish, pasta, and pizza. They offer a kids menu plus snacks for adults.
We were seated on the ground floor. When busy, you might be sitting upstairs in the first-floor seating area.
Our server was excellent, going out of his way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. He kept an eye on us without being intrusive, even after the restaurant began to fill up for lunch.
Rexy has an excellent wine list. We enjoyed a Maltese sparkling rose. Beer and spirits are available from the bar.
Our lunch started with a complimentary Maltese Platter. The pickled broad beans and house-made conserva were perfect with the fresh Gozitan bread while we waited for our entrees.
My companion and I shared a full rack of ribs and a traditional lasagna. Both were scrumptious.
The smokey marinated pork ribs were tasty, juicy, and tender. They come smothered in BBQ sauce; however, the next time I order them, I will ask for the sauce on the side. It is a bit sweet for my taste.
The lasagna had a combination of red and bechamel sauce - my favorite. We had sides of roasted vegetables and potatoes in their jackets.
Rexy is a family-friendly place that we will return to again for lunch or dinner.

Rexy is a Mediterranean restaurant in Ghjansielem, Gozo. Located on one of Gozo's main roads, Trig I-Imgarr, a minutes walk from the bus stop. Offering a wide variety of local favorites such as Octopus, Calamari, fresh fish, and local rabbit all cooked to perfection. We like the variety of pasta dishes and their meat selection. A favorite of ours are the BBQ spare ribs. A full rack of, falling off the bone, sweet tender ribs. Their pizzza's are another village favorite with over 20 to choose from or request your own toppings. With a full choice of wines, spirits and brews, they are sure to have something to please every taste with budget friendly prices.

Tall ceilings and contemporary layout and fixtures doesn't lend itself to being a cosy place to dine... hence dropped a star for atmosphere. However the food, portions and staff are all excellent and cannot be faulted.

I had an amazing lunch here, Cristabel at the front desk was attentive and gave me a great suggestion of the seafood linguine which was super delicious, would recommend this place highly 👌🏽

One of , if not the best restaurant on the island.
I have been coming here for over 30 years now and the quality has always remained top notch. The side salad with home made mayo is amazing, and the mains are all fantastic. Definitely recommend a trip if you are visiting Gozo

Veal Scallops
Good homemade food in a laid back, family friendly environment. Great value for money too; I ordered the baked ravioli on a friend's recommendation - the portion was massive, tasted great and only cost ~ 12 euro.
The place is very welcoming, Staff are brilliant, Food is excellent and well served!
I definitely will visit again.. And prices are cheaper then other places for sure!
