Nice view, welcoming and friendly stuff and great food. The chowder is always very nice and our go to, generous portion and good amount of fish! (will be even better if it was served with garlic bread, as it was actually used to if i am not wrong). But the clams pasta is something different and out of this world and definitely the best one we have ever had!Big compliments to the chef.We were very lucky twice to get the last portion!Please keep it on the menu!Already looking forward to our next visit. We had dinner here and we were really impressed with the service, the staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. We had the breads to start, blue cod and chips and the chicken schnitzel. I feel like it was great value for money as the portions were quite large, the food tasted good and we left very satisfied. If we weren’t so full we would have loved to try the dessert menu as it looked really good, we hope to try that next time. The restaurant is in a great location overlooking the water and it’s a really nice atmosphere. I've really enjoyed my seafood risotto that has been recommended by a wonderful staff member. The girls working there rocking and who ever is in the kitchen too! Loved the views and the atmosphere. The fish and chips at Riverton Beach House Restaurant are to die for - perhaps the best I’ve had in New Zealand, but the real star of the meal was the desert. The Sticky Date Pudding was life changing. The staff were also incredibly friendly, the views were top notch. I’d come all the way back to Riverton from Perth, Australia just to eat here again. Incredible place. I had the blue cod and partner had the seafood chowder. Both were sensational. The waitress who served us (with the tattoo) was excellent. Certainly deserved the tip. Would highly recommend. Looks like it’d get very busy so suggest booking to avoid disappointment. The tastiest chowder with the best location looking out to sea. Friendly service, great coffee and delicious food. Two of us had chowder and we were very pleased, full of actual seafood and creamy. Food is greaaaat!! We ordered fried chicken tacos and clam linguine. Super delicious! Very generous portion on linguine. I think tacos is a bit too small, but if you add chips, it’s just perfect. Fried chicken is so good! Then we ordered dessert, brownie cake. Worth my calories!

Would have been Lovely if only it has been open 🤔. Don't believe the times as listed! Apologies to owner after seeing response, although I can read, very well actually. But we just saw the LARGE 'CLOSED' sign from the car on the other side of the road. Maybe a larger sign saying closed due to staff sickness visible from the road would have been better? No point in getting out of the car to see a written small sign when there is a large closed sign and white chain across the entrance. I was annoyed because last time we tried to come a few years ago it was also closed and no reason then. Hope you all get well soon and can get back to business. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Dinner was so good we came back for breakfast! We got the blue cod & chips and the sea food chowder, very delish! I dipped my cod and chips in to the chowder, I recommend. We shared the beach house butty & smoked salmon and poached eggs (because the smoked salmon looks to good for me to not steal some!) All very yummy, fresh and good price. We sat outside / on the deck, but the inside is also very cute beach vibes. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great food and friendly staff and you must try the bloody mary cocktail. It was so good that I down 4 and a bottle of wine. My first trip down Invercargill and it was a wonderful experience. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $100+
