We came to try the chicken noodle Thai soup for R50 as that is a great deal. It was really delicious and the chilli is hot if you ask for hot 🔥. I had the pad Thai which was super tasty. Plenty of parking nearby and there is a toilet. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had a very bad experience. They did not have any of the drinks I wanted that were on the menu. They did not have any desserts I wanted. Why have a menu if you do not have stock of the food and drinks on there? The food was quite good, I must say. Waitress had a bad attitude. I will certainly not return or recommend the place. We really, really enjoyed this. My wife and I had been feeling a bit under the weather with allergies so we wanted some soup and something spicy. We got that for sure! We all got something different from soup, to pad Thai, to Penang curry. Everything was good, but the Penang curry was especially good. Easily the best Thai we've eaten in South Africa. Don't miss out on this one! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person R 200–250 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Pad Thai with Chicken
Sorry to say but my expectations were blown out the water after reading so many positive reviews. On my arrival I already had reservations with the heavy smell of used cooking oil hanging im the dinning area, the single server had no interest in getting us seated. Almost half the items on the menu not available including the limited soft drink selection. All in all a very poor show. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person R 300–350 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
Delicious food for people looking for something spicy. The Angry Duck dish was fantastic and the Pad Thai with Chicken was enhanced by the addition of some chillies. Make sure you ask for medium unless you want to blow your head off! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Bought from here several times and all i can say is absolutely amazing food, every single dish is authentic. Portion sizes are wonderful too. Not licensed but you can bring your own which is cheaper so who can complain. They happily stayed open during their closed for lunch hour to complete our order as we were driving back to plett on a time limit. Will definitely be back again.. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person R 200–250
I love this place! Name change from Royal Siam but still tastes wonderful! Woot! We’ll be back!

Tasty stir fried noodles with vegetables. Ordered crispy fish with red curry. It came with a side of small pieces of fried fish. The fish was not so tasty. The curry sauce was good. The flavour of the angry duck sauce was okay. Duck meat was dry and chewy. Could not eat most of the duck meat. Good portion sizes. Service Take out Price per person R 100–150
Yesterday evening (01/03/2019) my wife and I decided to try out Royal Siam Thai here in Knysna, based on reviews we had seen, for our last dinner as our holiday comes to an end. Having looked at Royal Siam Thai's online menu, we were quite pleased to note vegetarian options. Being vegan and lovers of Thai food we are quite knowledgeable about ingredients used in Thai dishes which can be omitted from vegetarian dishes to make them vegan friendly; having eaten vegan at many Thai restaurants in South Africa and in Phuket, Thailand, both small and large establishments, as a couple we found Thai dishes very amenable to our dietary lifestyle. Hoping for a nice vegan Thai dish for dinner, my wife and I unfortunately had a surprising yet numbing experience at Royal Siam Thai. We had placed our orders for the vegetarian Vietnamese spring rolls, Tom Kha and Tom yum soups and two vegetarian stir fries and asked the waitress to please leave out any fish sauce, oyster sauce, shrimp paste and egg to which the waitress said she will indicate to the chef. Much to our surprise while waiting for our Jasmine Tea to arrive, we heard what looked like arguments between individuals coming from the kitchen. Of the three occupied tables in the restaurant we were the only table that had not been served. We heard someone complaining about our request to omit any non-vegan products from our chosen vegetarian order. We clearly heard the phrase: "Indian.. You must go". A few seconds later we see a man of Thai ethnicity emerge from the kitchen telling us that he is canceling our order and that we should leave and go eat somewhere else as he can't accommodate our request because Thai food can't be made as per our request to omit the non-vegan items. It is safe to say that my wife and I were dumbstruck, shocked, embarrassed and certainly displeased having been asked to leave and go eat somewhere else. The utter lack of respect, hospitality and concern for persons who took interest in their restaurant spoke volumes of their service mentality and integrity as food service providers to their customers. You can be assured that as a Vegan, Plant-based or Strict Vegetarian, you are not welcomed at Royal Siam Thai.
Unbelievably bad. Pad Thai Chicken - no depth, very little chicken, dominated by fish sauce-no other flavours. Beef & Black Pepper - should be called Carrot & Beef - the tiny 4 pieces of beef were tough as boots - and zero Black Pepper. Carrots made up 90% of the dish. Zero other flavours. Would have to say an amateur chef. She came out and apologised but couldn't articulate the issue and no attempt to fix the problem. Over and above this, pricing high, especially for the portion of the food. Great pity Thai Eatery no longer here in Knysna - really sorely missed !
