I read that Ruby Donut is the best donut shop in Massachusetts and I was not disappointed!
I decided to go early, so there was only about a dozen different options, but they were still bringing them out from the back; I tried 6 different types and they are all exceptional.
If you're like me and have only eaten chain donuts you're entire life, you're going to be spoiled by the softest, most amazing donuts ever.

These donuts are awesome & fresh. Not day old shipped to the store like the major chain around here. The girl that is generally behind the counter is super friendly. They have a couple tables, but the store isn't really a great place to hang out & sit comfortably. I still gave it five stars because the deliciousness of the donuts deserves it!!

Jelly Filled Donuts
I have never cared for donuts. But this place is a GEM! Best donuts I have ever had. They have a texture that is unlike any donut I have ever had. They're perfect and freshly made every single morning.
Nothing compares to having a fresh donut that is still warm in the morning.

First time customer, so we were given plenty of free samples, including a free donut sandwich! Excellent service, very personable staff. Had to walk out with a dozen donuts. 10/10 recommend.
These will be the best donuts you'll ever have, because they're much lighter than the cobbles you'd find at the ubiquitous donut chain we all default to.
All donuts are freshly made onsite each morning, instead of being extruded in some far-off industrial donut mill.

This place came recommended by none other than the Installation Commander of Fort Devens, who claimed that the doughnuts forged here during the revolutionary war kept George Washington’s army from collapsing at Valley Forge. I too witnessed a Valley Forge of my own, an SRP event a mere three miles from this place. The cold, windswept misery of assembly-line medical care broke the will of my fellow patriots. Taking the Commanders advice, I did my patriotic duty and bought a dozen for my fellow soldiers. What transpired can only be described as a revolutionary fervor, spreading amongst the staff as their fatigued souls were nurtured by these delectable pastries. Their faith renewed by those woven rings of dough, tenderly kissed by the sweet homespun confectionary of an angel. With each bite into the scrumptious delectables, their energy was restored, the burning light of liberty slowly awakened from a greyed ember to a roaring fire. Within a day, that single dozen of assorted treasures became two dozen. Then three. Then four. And before long, the defeated masses fueled by the cornucopia of Ruby, and her mastery of candied freedom, marched to victory at the Yorktown medical readiness, slaying the metrics beast once and for all.

Cinnamon Roll
I've had donuts in several different countries and these are up there with some of (if not) the best donuts I have ever had. Light, chewy, with a slight crunch on the outside, delightful and each flavor is truly unique. I got a cinnamon crunch, raspberry fritter, and a maple glazed and each was better than the last! The gentleman at the counter was extremely friendly, and I got a coffee as well. Everything was delectable and I will gladly drive the hour from Boston again to get these
This place has coffee, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, kolaches, and bubble tea, and the donuts are where they really shine. They've got that nice delicate crispy crust, soft and slightly chewy middle, and fresh fillings and toppings. The apple fritters are especially good. And, on top of all this, their prices are very reasonable for the high quality.

Very personable staff, even when they are very busy. Unusual donut style compared to most donut joints - most here have a light crispy outside, softer and more flavorful inside. While some types taste better than others, we have yet to have a "bad" one. Apple fritter is definitely one to try.
