Ruby’s is a little out if the way if you’re staying in Nelson or just passing through, but well worth the short diversion out on to the breakwater for a coffee stop. And word had got around - at 10am on a weekday it was very busy, with cyclists, locals, and even the local fire station all heading out for a morning coffee. Despite this service was super fast, and the coffee excellent. There’s no undercover seating so either enjoy the view in fine weather, or grab a quick takeaway if it’s cold or wet. Coffee is on point, staff are bubbly… the feeling is relaxed like your on holiday. Top spot to drink coffee and eat ice cream. You can keep your coffee card at the counter so you don’t miss your free one. Service Dine in Meal type Other

A really nice spot for an iced coffee - sea views when the tide is in, very sunny. Not a lot of shade so wear a hat or grab n go. Note that seating isn’t very accessible and is a little worn but is functional. Plenty of parking. Can get very busy at key times. Dogs welcome. Service variable but worth it.
