Clean atmosphere. It's not crowded. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Food was served fresh and at timely matter. the 3 cup chicken was delicious. Tried the monster sushi and honey walnut shrimp. Honey walnut shrimp looks unusual with the color but tastes good. Prices are fairly within reasonable price range. They have lunch bento box specials that I wouldn't mind trying to. I had such high hopes for this spot. Alas, all we recieved was greasy, soggy food covered in uncooked garlic. The atmosphere is noisy and a bit chaotic. The cloth seats felt flimsy, and were covered in crusty stains. The table was generally clean. The service started off excellent. Quick to be seen once seated and we received our beverages promptly. After that, it was exceptionally confusing, as we placed an order for appetizers that all came well after our entrees. We also had to ask for the white rice that was a part of two of our dishes multiple times before receiving it. As for the food, as mentioned before it all was covered in grease, to the point of being soggy from grease. The tempura green beans “coating” just slid off. The noodles sat in a pool of grease. The cucumber salad tasted like it was covered in soy sauce, and was quite bitter. The orange chicken was soft and chewy, with no crunchy and absolutely drenched in sauce - contributing to the sogginess. The Chinese broccoli had what tasted like pre-chopped garlic stored in citric acid and then uncooked ladled on the dishes. All in all, way overpriced for the food and atmospheres. This place is so awesome!! The food was delicious and our server Minu was so friendly and attentive. The honey walnut shrimp and the wontons in red oil (not pictured because we devoured them) are definitely a must try!! It was so wonderful that this business was open tonight on Christmas Day. Jesse and the team took care of our table of ten with great service. They even made dishes gluten free for my daughter who is a Celiac. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I had never been to this restaurant so thought we would try it. Walking in I was impressed with the decor. We were seated within 5 min. They have two dining areas and a bar. I like all the large windows to view outside which is pretty with their landscaping. I ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp that came with a bowl of rice, it was very good. Authentic Chinese food. I've had several plates and all are delicious. Large menu that's divided by meat type and vegetarian. Good beer, wine, liquor selection as well. I'm a fan. My first impression of Rui's Shanghai Bistro as I walked in, gave me that vibe of one of those modern infusion type eateries like you see in a movie where your served your meal made out of foam 😁 very spacious and extremely clean. The bathrooms are very clean also. Something that's rare these days. Service was very quick and the food is fresh and hot. The staff are very friendly but focused on serving the customer. The food was "bomb", very fresh, flavorful, just overall great. If you enjoy Chinese cuisine trust me, try Rui's Shanghai Bistro. I've already been back twice, myself. Amazing food, but this place can get busy very fast. I am glad they moved to a much bigger place. Usually we do take out, so I have yet to dine in at there new location. I will be updating my post the next time I do dine in. Pictured is Shanghai Bistro noodles, Spicy Lamb with Bamboo shoots, shrimp tempura 🍤, white rice, sour apple saki, and Mongolian beef. Everything is very favorable, and the portions are shareable. We usually try different things every time. Nice and clean. Really cool decorations inside (Halloween themed at the moment) Food was very tasty. Have vegetarian options too. I was walking around the area and could smell the food from outside and I decided to try it with my partner the next day. I didn't think there could be great Chinese food in Redlands, but this place really changed my mind. The food was delicious and the service was great, honestly can't wait to try other items on the menu. If you're craving Chinese food that's not greasy, then come try this place out.
