There is no other restaurant in okinawa that compares to this. Pro: - diverse menu - traditional - delicious isn't even enough to describe it - environment /mood / romantic - Staff - parking and location Cons: - Hard to make a reservation (do not show up without one) - extremely popular with locals so hard to get last minute reservation (worth it to call 48 hours out) Before I became a regular and I could not find someone who spoke Japanese to make a reservation for my wife and I. Lovely lovely high quality local Okinawan cuisine. The food here is extremely well executed and probably the highest level of local dishes. The somen is insanely delicious, and their rendition of the pork trotter, is just out of this world - soft and gelatinous inside but crispy on the outside. Really nice food for the price. A bit on the expensive side. The service was very good and the place felt very cozy. I visited on a weekday but even then it was hard to get a reservation 2 days before. I would suggest to reserve a table a few days in advance. Some of the food was slightly too salty for our taste, which is why I'm giving a 4 star instead of 5. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ¥4,000–5,000

We stumbled across Sakae Ryoriten by chance one night, and we are glad we did. We enjoyed our meals so much, we reserved for a second night. I would give this restaurant 6 stars if possible. The atmosphere is understated, but elegant, and the staff were so helpful and made us feel comfortable. They have an English menu which was nice for us. The tasting menus were amazing. Each course was unique, beautifully presented and featured local Okinawa produce. Most of all, the tastes and textures were a revelation. Mr. Sakae is such a talented chef and his food Michelin worthy in my opinion. We couldn’t believe how reasonably priced this restaurant is for the high quality of food. I can’t recommend Sakae Ryoriten enough. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I loved the pork feet. Best dish ! The restaurant is a bit noisy when there are lots of people because there are not so much to prevent echoing in the dining area. The best Uruma mood in town. Very good food and drinks. Requires reservation IN ADVANCE , due to being very popular.

We shared different dishes, from sashimi to pork forearm which is one of the specialties there. Everything was great, including staff and environment.
