I've been coming here for close to 20 years. This is the first time I've ever left dissatisfied. The soup recipe has been changed,now it tastes like salty ramen noodle liquid. It was gross. The salad was the usual but the dressing was so thin it was like water. The cook was entertaining and talked to everyone but he didn't know any of the fancy tricks that you expect at Sakura. The food honestly was okay,but missing something. Our server was incredibly nice,and kept our glasses full. This has been my family's go to spot for celebrations for years. It's sad to see it go down hill. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love this place. Hope u get "da big brown guy" as your cook - da best 😂 He's a skillful cook & socially entertaining which makes dining experience all the more enjoyable. It's one of my spots that I've been coming here for friends/family gatherings, graduations, especially daughter's bdays. First time visit was a good one . Our food cooked on the hibachi was amazing. Cooked to perfection and very entertaining. But the appetizers from the kitchen were over cooked and the grease needed to be changed. But I would and will recommend the hibachi experience... Typically the food here is pretty good. Today I received the most bland plate of food ever. Total waste of my money and these days money is precious. You know how hibachi has a certain taste…yea this plate of food does not. No seasonjng, the shrimp has tracings of it being stuck to the pot, the rice appears to have never been put on the grill. I have been here numerous times now and experienced both dining at a grill table and enjoying the show as well as sitting at the sushi bar and just ordering sushi. Food is always amazing - especially the sushi!! Staff are always welcoming and friendly. It's definitely a place I am happy to frequent! Food was yummy! We were a large party- 14- but did have a reservation. We waited FOREVER just to get waters and the folks who wanted something ftom the bar gave up waiting and just left the table and went to the bar themselves. I have never been to this location but the other 13 people had been and said it was by far the worst service they had ever received and they would not return next year for their yearly Christmas gathering- $700 spent before the tip. We came here for a friend's birthday dinner. Arrived at 7 and was seated. Had our drink order taken. When drinks were brought out the server spilled a whole glass of tea one of our friends. Which he apologized for. Our cook didn't come out to start cooking for us until 8:10. Cook was great, but food was ok. Plates and bowls from soup and salad were never removed from the table. It was a bad experience for everyone. We will definitely not be going back to this place. Not what we were expecting from a Japanese steak house. We have been to Sakura in the past and have had mostly good experiences but this last time was amazing! We had a large party to celebrate my daughter's birthday at 2 tables. Food was awesome, Chefs were even better! Very entertaining! Lots of jokes and drum beats. Well I used to brag about this place being the best sushi restaurant in Rock Hill but unfortunately after yesterday's visit I can no longer claim that...this is the second time that I have found hair in my sushi...gross! This place was not very clean. As soon as you walked in you could see that the leather or pleather from the seating had been scraped off or fell off. All the people that work there seem really nice, but this place definitely needs everyone to look more professional and neat. (Especially serving food) We sat down at the table, and the other group saw that there were roaches around the table. The only thing that they did was come and catch the roach and didn’t even bother to wipe down where the bug was crawling. I have traveled around the world and been to a lot of Japanese restaurants in the US and out of the US. I want to say this place was probably the most ghetto places that I have been too. Don’t waste your money or time going here. Go to a cleaner and professional Japanese steakhouse. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
