Chicken and waffles were horrible. The waffles was cold. The chicken was bland. That was a waste of $23 times two. The chicken thick. We should have ordered something a little more simple. Eggs and toast Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The location is quite spacious and doesn't require reservations. However, the food tasted average, and I was expecting better from a fine dining establishment. I ordered the fettuccine with Boulogne sauce, and I hope they used olive oil because too much grease could clog my arteries. Unfortunately, the shrimp and grits were too salty for my liking, even saltier than the water in Mississippi. Overall, I am not a fan of this restaurant. I had breakfast here while I was staying during thanksgiving. Bar none the worst shrimp and grits I’ve ever seen much less tasted. Runny grits, hard boiled egg, soft shrimp, and this weird inedible bbq sauce that looked like they squirted out of a bottle all over the top. It was completely inedible. Never had worse in my life. Don't waste your time. Not worth the cost eating here. Spent $130 on a dinner for two that was not even average. Waited 35 mins for our meals to come out and they were just warm, at best. Steak was way over seasoned, mixed vegetables were bland, baked potato was barely hot enough to melt the butter. My wife's Alfredo was comparable to a box mix meal. Didn't even bother to complain because who knows how long it would take to fix it. Server was polite and kept our beverages filled that was the only good thing about this visit. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
Had the omelette with peppers and onions. It was good. I especially liked the potato cakes. The chocolate cake was fabulous! My wife had the chicken and waffles. She thoroughly enjoyed them. We ate there on Christmas Day. They didn’t get five stars because they took about 30 minutes to get our food to us. The waitress was great but I think the kitchen was short staffed. We still enjoyed everything.

I had the greasiest pasta bolognese I have ever seen, not even sure how this happens, there was at least a 1/4 cup of grease in the bottom of the bowl. I attempted to eat this dish before a greasy film lined my mouth and I discovered the source. I brought it to the attention of the server she acknowledged it shouldn’t be greasy and went on about her duties. Should’ve demanded it be taken off the bill! If not for our server this place would have gotten a 2 all the way across. This place reminds me of a cafeteria. With the furniture, classes, plates and silverware. The food isn't much better. I ordered a pasta with meat sauce. Came with garlic bread. In my party, we had four people. Three of us ordered the same pasta dish and one ordered salad. The pasta portion although substantial, was different on each plate, by a lot. The meat in the meat sauce was super chunky and not in a good way. Like the cook didn't break it down. I am Italian and very rarely do I order pasta out and this is why. Although edible when hungry, barely. The meat sauce wasn't great for a restaurant at this venue. I hate Olive Garden and I would have rather had Olive Garden. The meat in the meat sauce was extremely cheap and greasy. Chunks of carrots?? I didn't know why. Pasta over cooked. But not too much. The garlic bread looked, smashed and already used on a different plate. I am glad this food was a comp and we didn't have to pay for it. I would have hated to pay this much for this not so good meal. The server however, was amazing and super friendly and nice. She is the only reason I didn't complain. She deserves not to put up with a substandard restaurant complaints. Fire the cook though. My girlfriend and I came here on a chance looking for an earlier brunch spot. My waitress was ok, and nothing to brag about. She had no sense of urgency and did not check in with us after the meal was dropped off except to get paid. We were seated at the very end of the restaurant up against a filthy wall which didn't help matters, either. And while the service was just, "meh," our food and drinks were actually pretty good. I had the Back Bay Benedict (I think that is correct). This dish comes with a fried green tomato, julienned tasso, gulf shrimp, a poached egg topped with tomato gravy on a fluffy biscuit. I got a side of hollandaise so I could try it because I am particular of the taste of mother sauces and this was actually good. I got a side of grits which were just underwhelming and disappointing. My girlfriend had the country fried steak which is a New York Strip battered and fried topped with gravy. Must say it was mighty fine. She also got the side of breakfast potatoes which were ok, but far better than the dismal grits. While dining in this restaurant, I observed a lot of things. I, too, am a restaurant manager and I watch all of the time. Often times it is to a fault, but I like to see what works and what doesn't. That being said, there is a waitress there that really impressed me. She had hustle, spark, personality, energy, and anything else that makes a model employee. Especially a waitress. Her name is Lavonna and based on sole observation, she is the waitress you want. Ask for her. I doubt you will be disappointed. TL;DR 3 Stars -Mediocre at best service -Pitiful grits -Dirty wall -Pretty good main courses -Watching Lavonna hustle, who wasn't our waitress, was probably the best part of the experience, sadly enough Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30
I ordered the pasta shrimp. My daughter ordered pasta with chicken. Both were awful. They got the pasta wrong. The chicken was rubbery, and the shrimp was undercooked. I asked the waiter for some Parmesan cheese. He said the restaurant didn’t have any lol stunning with the tip it was $110, I had two glasses of wine with the two plates of pasta way overpriced for the quality of food. Our waiter Shanae was very excellent. She was extremely helpful and friendly. Although the food was absolutely terrible. The catfish was unseasoned and the coleslaw reeked of onions. The pasta was a small portion and the chicken added on top was one chicken strip cut into small pieces. The sheila pasta was decent. Overall I’m very unsatisfied with the food at this restaurant, but their team was a joy to meet. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
