We are here twice while in the area and loved it. It’s an order, take a number and seat yourself kind of place. Casual vibe, but delicious food. Big portions and filling after a day of hiking. We got the burger, fish, fish sandwich and steak- all were good. Can get busy so we tried to go a bit earlier. Be warned, it gets VERY crowded. I recommend booking a table. Food was really good, and the beer 🍺 on tap was even better. You did have to battle the queue of people ordering food to get your drinks. Price per person $40–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fish and Chips

Little gem with great pub grub food that comes out fast. We like it here as we can see our car in the car park while dining, great if towing a trailer. Staff are also really friendly! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Brought my tour group in for dinner. While ordering food at the bar took them by surprise, the even bigger surprise was how quickly the very efficient kitchen had the food ready. Thanks Schnapps for the great food and hospitality! My friend and I enjoyed one of our best meals here in New Zealand, just straight up good food that you can't go wrong with. We shared the ribs and scotch fillet and we were stuffed. Portions are great for the price. Also can't miss the post hot chocolate for the cold weather! P.s. it's the little things like lemon water to wash our fingers that makes a huge difference!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Whenever I travel rural tourist area, I usually have low expectations on food but the food in this pub was actually quite nice. We enjoyed steak, chicken wings and beef burger. Great service from the guy behind the bar. Ribs were delicious and servings were very generous. The Mountain burger 🍔 was also pretty good. Great value. Nice mini golf area and you can get the sundae at a discount after your game.
