Fries and burgers were decent overall—not outstanding, but decent. I had the deep-fried portobello mushroom burger. Covered in cheese sauce, it was decent but spilled out before I could taste it. The fries lacked a really fresh flavor. It took a little longer than I had anticipated for the food to come out. The booth poles were the one real source of complaint. I would suggest they be taken out since you can hit your knee hard getting into the booth if you dont know they are there. I love shake shacks food, however the employees here consistently fail. Many times I have ordered burgers and fries and maybe 8/10 the order is wrong. Just recently I ordered an avocado bacon burger in which you pay 2 extra dollars for the avocado and the picture below is what I ended up getting. Ridiculous. Is it really that hard to put the amount you’re supposed to? Additionally, employees here obviously do not care about the hospitality aspect to their job. They are frequently rude, short tempered, and I’ve noticed, high at work. Not to mention when I’ve eaten in the restaurant, it took over 45 minutes every time for my order to come out even when no one else was in there. Something needs to change. First time trying Shake Shack, I was not impressed. We got there around 6:30pm for dinner. The place was almost empty, maybe 10 other people sitting in the dining area. There were 5 of us. It cost us almost $100!! It took almost 30 min to get our food. We all got basic meals and only one got a shake. I opted for the spicy chicken sandwich, terrible! It was tiny, flat and dry. The cheese fries were decent, but not worth going for. The location was nice and clean and the shuffleboard table was appreciated, it gave the kids something to do while we waited forever. I would only come back if it was the only option for a burger in the area, otherwise it's a hard no for me. Definitely was a let down as I've heard good things about it. More spacious than the Central West End location. Also fairly clean. A child spilled water near the condiments station and it was not cleaned immediately, so someone might have slipped if they weren't looking. Burgers were the usual taste. We also tried the Avocado Bacon Chicken for a change, and that was good too. Only complaint was that it took 25 minutes to get our food, even though there were only a few people dining in. Busboy was very nice and kept tables clean & clear. Cashier couldn’t answer our questions regarding the menu and stepped away to ask manger lady who politely barked that she didn’t have time to answer our questions. With our order, a to go order was placed as well for a cheeseburger which came out on our tray without the box or a bag to travel home. 👎🏼 For the money we paid for three people you would think the service is better than that. Stopped in at 8:30pm, put my order in at kiosk, got a text saying it’s ready, food not in the pick up area, I go to the counter where two employees ignore me - no eye contact or speaking. Finally I asked where to pick up my order and an employee points to said area. I tell her it’s not there, she goes to look, looks at the screen with orders and walks away. Other employee gets the food together for me. No apology. I don’t expect fast food employees to just be cheerful robots, especially at 8:30pm for probably minimum wage. But at least acknowledge my presence. Also the setup is confusing. The pickup area states that it’s for orders from the app - nothing about the kiosk inside. Food is not good enough to deal with garbage service. It’s not the first time we’ve had lousy service there but it will be the last cause I’m not going back. I waited over 20 mins for my food to come out . When it did everything was cold . Which is crazy. I sent my fries back and my chicken : I spent too much money on one person for my food to be cold and old. My burger was cold but I was hungry and wasn’t gona send that back. Or else I would have got a refund and ate some fresh food for 30$ . They didn’t even get my drink order right . I just wouldn’t return . At least at the other location the food is always fresh no matter the wait time . The pic looks way better than the food tasted bc I’m great at taking pics haha ! I was a little disappointed to say the least. My son saw this place on YouTube so while on vacation we decided to try out a lot of different eateries for the first time. The sizes of the sandwiches was disrespectful as they can easily be compared to that of a slider from Krystal or White Castle. I included my receipt in the photos and was completely okay with that price tag until the food arrived to our table. The place was clean and the cashier was knowledgeable. I love the chicken sandwich! Today I tried it on a lettuce wrap, and it was still delicious. The spicy cheese fries are my fav. Normally I opt for a cookies and cream milkshake, but i decided to switch up my menu just a little and ordered the berry lemonade.
