Pumpkin toufu - taste delicious, toufu was soft, the pumpkin sauce was not starchy that I tried before, i prefer this way.
Deep fried tilapia with petal sambal sauce - the sauce was good, fried with onion & petai. The only downside was, the fish was not that fresh. No doubt, it's an unique recipe that you rarely get it from other restaurants.
Thai paku salad - the most tastiest dish. The vege were crunchy with pinch of lime in to, it made perfect to the taste.
Staff are friendly, and you will see the crowds started after 1130 am, seem like it's a popular dining place in that community.
Will return try other dishes.

Pork knuckles:
The taste was above average, portion is nice for 2 pax.
Fried lotus root & celery:
A bit salty, sprinkle with some cuttlefish & cashew nuts
Century egg minced pork porridge: The porridge is completely tasteless, look like it didn't put in any salt.
We had to mix with the sauce of pork knuckles to make the porridge tastier.

Very delicious dishes especially their signature kurau fish dish. The pricing is affordable. Personally if the dishes were slightly less salty, it would be perfect. However, i want to rave that they hardly used any MSG. Overall, i highly recommend this place & will definitely revisit for other dishes they are famous for.👍👍

Tasty and good to savour in this air con restaurant. Only downside is that food will be served slower during peak hours but otherwise everything is amazing

In term of environment it’s not the classy type but home cook or neighbourhood restaurant so felt homely. Staff is friendly, environment cleaner than average small neighbourhood with air conditioning. The cook handle the seafood nicely and cook to maintain the freshness and taste. For vegetable, they recommended cold dish - paku, it’s my first time eating but very nice and fresh taste, appetite opening with ikan bilis and a little lime taste. Next will be the prawn with two cooking style , the lemon zeist style will be a must try. This cooking style will be the winner tonight, it is a must try. The sauce is so good that we ask to keep it and finish it up over our rice. For slipper lobster they cook with their signature style … Mongolia style (can also be for crab), my companion commented nice but I may want to opt for another style next time. Our steamed rat grouper is done pretty well too but of course I think the main contribution is the fish. Steam egg is smooth and nice. Price is affordable and justifiable.
Quite pricey for two (2) tables of repeated dishes for an early reunion dinner. Though the air-conditioned ambience seemed clean, huge flies can be seen hovering over the air causing an annoying experience. Ample parking in the vicinity. Outdoor seatings are also available.
We had an early CNY Reunion Dinner here. Chose the second CNY Dinner menu. Some of the dishes were pleasantly different from the ones we would usually find elsewhere nearer the city. The food was generally satisfactory. They only accept cash payment though. Watch out too, for uncovered potholes when looking for parking by the roadside.
Great restaurant with extremely reasonable prices. Traditional Zi Char style cooking with Bentong influences (Ginger incorporated in dishes)
We ordered an Empurau fish around 1200 SGD over for the restaurant to prepare and they were able to deliver . Steamed to perfection and prepared in a traditional cantonese style , seasoned to perfection not shadowing the taste of the fish .
Air conditioned and had a good ambience. Would recommend .
Dishes are on lower price range and tasted so good !
Serving is quite fast as well, recommended if you don't mind to come kampung places for good food.
Affordable Chinese style restaurant. Would have preferred the salted egg yolks in the steamed egg to be in small chunks instead of blended into the egg.
