UPDATE! This bakery is alright. They have a lot of premade items displayed in the cases. When I say premade, I'm talking about desserts for sale that were never made by them. It wouldn't be my way of running a business as I feel it's fake and sneaky, but it's not my business so... When I didn't know any better I purchased probably $10-$15 worth of items in that case. 🤢 Only buy the rolls👍✔️ The woodwork and casings are nice. I took some new pictures. .* I happened to look at my receipt and noticed I was charged $3 for a lemon square. I did not purchase a lemon square, I was charged $3 for that impermeable chocolate mousse tart with the petrified cherry on top? -least favorite unedible item out of everything I tried, it was gross. Next time I will be more vigilant. Probably no next time, unless I wanted rolls.... The first time I tried this bakery they were under construction. Well, the construction is over and this is what I think; Walking in, the bakery wasn't as fancy as others and everything I tried was strange ie: color, texture, freshness The woman behind the counter was very nice. This is a Portuguese bakery, and I was charged incorrectly, and unaware that the only thing you should ever buy from here are the Portuguese rolls.

We stumbled upon this humble, clean, and authentic Portuguese bakery near downtown Hudson and were in for a treat. I've seen some other complaints here about the desserts, but the assortment of little lime, maracujá, and egg custard tarts we bought were equal to the best work of any American competitor--all perfectly yummy, high reviews from kids and adults alike. We'll be back to try the papo secos.

Very nice owners, locally owned Portuguese and Brazilian bakery store. There are lot of delicious pastries available to choose along with some groceries of Portuguese. I ended up purchasing the sweet bread with crème and coconut on top but it didn’t taste good. I should have purchased other pastries. The sweetbread I purchased was only good on top where the coconut and cream was there. Rest of this bread was bland and doughy and couldn’t eat. Staff were friendly. On my second visit, I have tried other pastries and still disappointed with the taste and quality. The breads are doughy, the apple turnover doesn’t have any butter and felt doughy. Even the creamy doughnut, the cream was sticky and not tasty. Had high expectations but very disappointed.

If you're looking for the best Portuguese roll. This is the place for you. The bread is something you would get in Santa Maria,Azores. Also excellent corn bread, and for something sweet try Silva's Cream Bread. You won't be dissapointed. Great prices, and service with a smile.

Fantastic fresh Portuguese bread. We switched to Wheat Bread (only avail. Fri. & Sat) after a pre-diabetic diagnosis, but it is every bit as good as thier White Bread. Today I picked up a dozen assorted fancy cookies for just $3.
The name comes from a Portuguese man. This place ran its course after the original owner that was a Portuguese immigrant from Portugal his last name is Silva. It was eventually sold to a Brazilian owner I think it was back in the 1990s. It was also AUTHENTIC not what you see now.

This is *the* place to get fresh, crusty, flaky, hot-from-the-oven papo secos! You'll never find a more perfect Portuguese bread roll outside of Portugal anywhere else. The shop is always bright and clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful.
So, this place is really not that good. The people are very nice, but that's where it ends. Located on Main Street, there are a few tables and chairs, then a couple shelves of random Portuguese products. The baked goods are Portuguese. I had a cinnamon roll it it was not that good. When I went in there was no coffee, but it looked like they have a Bunn drip machine, so I'm assuming the coffee is nasty, but I could be wrong. Unfortunately there are several better choices for coffee and bakery items near by, so I would not recommend this particular shop. I'll keep my eye open for any changes or upgrades and re-post if this deserves an upgrade.
